Just let God's Word live in your heart.........then The Word will be what you talk about.
People who hear you talk will either want what you have or they won't.........to those who are hungry, give them the food of The Word with the love of God in your heart........remember, we plant and water..........but GOD gives the increase.......

God bless, you are the best

I couldn't remember the scripture off the top of my head but it was 1 Corinthians 3:5-7
Sometimes we may get discouraged if it seems nobody wants to hear us share God's Word, but we just lovingly hold forth The Word and let God give the increase.

I personally don't like a "pushy cars salesman" I like the neighborly approach where I be respectful of the other person and just be plain friendly. It does not mean I be like them just be myself for the Lord. I find if the topic comes up then I know that the door is open to share my thoughts and my belief. If the topic don't come up, or they are resistant on talking about it then the door is closed and I don't feel its good to cast pearls before swine...

I think the lifestyle gospel is faulty, because there are alot of moral people who'll end up in hell. Mormons live good lives and most would think they're Christians, but, they're not. Jesus Christ needs to be preached. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God"
If you don't practice what you preach then you are nothing more than a pharisee and a hypocrite. When Jesus fulfilled the law, He didn't magically make the law go away. He fulfilled it in front of everyone for all eyes to see and all ears to hear. Jesus character was one of many evidences as to His true identity.

Romans 13: 8-10

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Now I'm not trying to turn this into a debate, I'm just stating a fact. It is essential that we follw in Christ's foot steps and share the Gospel of Jesus, which is a gospel of love and do so while expressing that love for others. Practice what you preach folks... someone may just call you out on it one day!

I would recommend getting your hands on some Kirk Cameron's "Way of the Master" teachings. They have some great ideas on not only how to approach a stranger but also how to share the gospel as well.

The bible says that God will give you the words to say. First off throw your own concerns out the window and fully trust and rely on God. He will find the words for you! Many times people are afraid to witness because they are shy or afraid they will sound "stupid" or stumble on themselves. This is not the case, God will speak through you, you just have to have the courage to open your mouth and allow him to do so. :D

I would also say that you should be gentle and respectful when witnessing. Especially to those that follow another religion. And I would also say, that you should be VERY careful on how you share the gospel....Many people have this idea that a prerequisite to being saved, one must STOP sinning. When it is our guilt before God that leads to faith in Christ for the forgiveness of sins.....The FRUITS of GENUINE repentance is a "willingness to turn from sin"...GENUINE Faith in Jesus as Savior makes one live Godly lives...The fruits dont save! The object of our faith(Jesus) is the one that saves!

I know this because many people I've talked to are confused on salvation...And think they must commit their lives to the Lord in order to be saved......Our commitments to the Lord are a FRUIT of our faith in Christ Jesus.....So again, you need to be VERY careful on how you phrase the gospel message to people......

make sure that you know the word of God.it helps if you go out in twos. Jesus sent them out in twos. one person can pick up where another one stopped. plus the one not talking can be praying . it help too bring a bible with . know where to find the verses you need .speak the truth with love. 1 Corinthians 3:6 helped me not to get disappointed.i (Paul) planted, Apollos watered: BUT God gives the increase. you may just be planting a seed (the word) and another may water it . or the other way around BUT remember it's God that gives the increase. God bless your heart, keep up your love walk for you shall reap if you faint not. God's blessing is upon his people...........in Christ's Love Jesse

1)Before you do anything.. *PRAY* =7
Start with something simple, Ask a plain question a non-believer would not know the answer to.

"What do you think you are put on this earth for?"
"What is the meaning of life?"
"What happens after death?"

Then begin to plant seeds into them, simply explain the knowledge you know about the Christ. When you plant a seed you are becoming a gardener for god, whether your seeds start to grow instantly or slowly or even if they fall on rocky places or in thorns God is still very pleased & will bless you because you are becoming the Sower. Whether you realize the progressions of the seeds you are sowing, you are making the effort & that is what is important. Knowledge is better then Ignorance.. Amen?

This is one plain way to start. Never worry about Persecution Infact never worry period god is with you so who can be against you. Do not fear men, only God. (Do not concern yourself with what another man thinks about you because you are doing what is right & what is right is the will of God)

Again i say Fear(Respect) only God. Amen?!?

If someone rebukes you or turns there back to you or hardens there hearts while you are sharing your gospel/witnessing to them. DO NOT BE OFFENDED, rather be filled with LOVE & rejoice because all you are doing is saving up rewards in heaven. This isnt to say be happy because they dont understand... always try to explain to them for you are their hope. If it comes to the point where they are persecuting you or being unreasonable, do not waste your words, rather pray earnestly that god will open their eyes to the Way.

- REMEMBER THAT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT -

There is not one perfect way to get through to somebody, ask god for discernment. & he will give you the words. Listen to the HolySpirit It is one of Gods amazing gifts.

2) Creation Technique (Difficulty But Somewhat effective)

I Say this method because i find especially in younger people who were taught in schools about "Evolution" ( EVILUTIONS >8P )
This method requires a bit more research because alot of younger people will try to argue how the earth could not be made in 7 days but to this i say..
Evilution is a theory derrived from the "laws of science"
The key laws of science are:
X must be Repeatable, Verifyable & Observerable (Not nessasarily in that order)
& The thing about Creation is that NO ONE can understand it fully because it is a SUPERNATURAL EVENT (Only Happened once in the course of time) Therefore, it was NON-Observable, NON-Verifyable & NON-Repeatable..
THIS IS WHY CHRISTIANS MUST RELY ON FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!!
THROUGH FAITH WE BELIEVE THAT JESUS WAS ON THIS EARTH & DIED ON A TREE ( CROSS) FOR OUR SINS - THROUGH FAITH WE BELIEVE THAT ADAM ATE THAT APPLE & BROUGHT SIN(DEATH) INTO THIS WORLD, FAITH THAT GOD CHILLED ON THAT 7th DAY & CHUCKLED OVER THE PERFECTION HE HAD MADE (EARTH) FAITH IS THE KEY!!!!
And without FAITH it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must BELIEVE that he exist & that he rewards those who EARNESTLY seek him. ~Hebrews 11:6

This is how i would explain it to a person. Never give up on the people you want to save as god never gave up on you.

May God be with you always, & may he bless your ministry, In Jesus most Holy name.. Amen.

Hello everyone!,

How do you witness to people, got any tips?.

I like Gospel Tracts becuase you can leave them anywhere!, Livingwaters.com has good ones.

I've noticed that listening in a nonjudgmental manner works nicely. The trick is to not let yourself get offended or threatened or shocked with the ideas they share with you. Like Jesus says - meet them where they are at. In actuality, people love to talk about God and the meaning of life; however, since there are rarely opportunities to do so as adults - people often do not have the language to talk about their faith or beliefs. Even Christians have a hard time with this - and that is why it is intimidating when an atheist confronts you. I use this to my advantage when I talk with people - I ask questions and listen and make sure I do not belittle what they have to say or correct them in a confrontational manner. I genuinely want to hear what they have to say and then I offer information that invites them to stretch their understanding - I've noticed throughout the years that people normally have large holes in their understanding about God, and since no one likes to feel that they have never thought about important spiritual ideas long enough to come up with beliefs of their own; they usually turn the floor over to me; I let them know that I love to talk about God and I love to think about God's will and then share relevant information - often times they, without even realizing it, end up adopting my Biblical ideas. Since people tend to enjoy possessing answers to difficult questions, as long as the ideas are not pushed on them - they hang on to what I tell them and sometimes ask me how to fine out more information. In my opinion, this is planting seeds. If I can have a stimulating, positive conversation about God with someone who is not used to talking or thinking about spiritual interests, without confronting, demanding or condemning them, I have done my job and it opens the door to the 2nd conversation, with me or some other Christian.

Forget the idea that you are going to witness Jesus to someone and they are going to fall on their knees right there in the park and pray the sinner prayer and follow you to the church for baptism! You simply cannot witness effectively by confronting a stranger with information - no matter how true it is. Sure it might happen, but more than likely the information will be received as threatening and elicit a hostile response. It always strikes me funny how Christians expect that witnessing truth is going to magically convert some person they have never met before - Ha! That method doesn't work with any type of information, why would it work with information people are not even familier with? Patients rarely take their doctors advice and they know their doctor - and the doctor is usually sharing information that impacts their health. Why would those same people listen to a stranger in the park who hands them a tract?

Witnessing is a tag-team sport! You are a small cog in the wheel - think about setting up the next conversation, not saving their souls. If you can provide them with one new Christian idea, or spark their interest - God is moving mountains within you.

Finally, anyone who has worked with Junior High kids knows that the best way to ruin a group game is to allow the kids to keep playing it until they get tired of it - once they get tired of it, they will never play it again. If you stop the game at the height of enjoyment, they will look forward to the next time. It is the same deal with witnessing - don't play your entire hand all at once - keep them coming back for more.

The most important thing is that the person you are witnessing to feels like you value and love them regardless if they accept Christ or not. It is also important to develop a relationship of intimacy with the Holy Spirit and get to know what His voice sounds like, so when you go out to witness you will hear Him talking to you when you are witnessing to people, and will be much more effective because you hear the nudges and the for the moment commands of the Lord(Acts 16:6-10).

hello,

God said save some by compassion and save some by fear which means tell them of prophesy that God's word is true and the judgment of people who do not accept Christ.
You have to reach out to people in different ways. Not everybody accepts that Jesus is the savior but if you show them prophesy then some will start to lean towards Christianity.
Always do everything in love. Some people show love to influence them to come to God without preaching the word.Others tell them Jesus is the savior and why He had to die on the cross.Others reach with prophesy to show them God's word is true.
Always allow the Spirit to lead you and you will know how to reach the person. That is why you allow the Holy Spirit to lead the Church service because the Spirit knows what is best to effect people in the congregation.

I find the Holy Spirit will help you start up the conversation, you just gotta listenly closely for the prompting. It usually happens to me in the weirdest of places nowdays, lol, my husband says that you could talk God to just about anyone. I find that it starts with something you feel will be an easy conversation about (just stuff that is happening right that moment) and then God kinda steps in. Just don't be afraid to talk-

I believe this is a topic that a lot of churches fall short on, evangelizing out of convenience. Sorry if I seem a bit harsh, but growing up a JW I learned the very effective tool of going door to door inviting people to join the kingdom hall. And they hold personal 1:1, 2 :1 bible book studies.

I suggested this as a Lutheran church I used to attend and they were wanting to expand the church so they needed more people joining the church. Totally fell on deaf ears, even heard a few 'that's a ridiculous idea', that's studid, people will think were heretics. Make our church look bad, etc.

If a church is going to really be effective they need to organize groups to go from door to door inviting people to come to Christ, not just their church. If they already belong to Christ, great! Let them know you'd like them to just visit your church, no commitments, just glad to see a fellow brother or sister, etc.

1. Your actions will speak more than words and will draw people to you.
2. Be subtle and try to find the right moment, believe me there is no worse turnoff than trying to shove your ideas into somebody else's head.
3. Prayer is very powerful.

It would be good to know what other people think, and how other people see God, doing research on this helps a lot on how you can witness to different people from different backgrounds.

I like to pray as soon as I wake up, I also pray throughout my day.yet i also live my life as if I were a living wittness of why I trust love & fallow Christianity. I am only human so I am not always perfect at this kind of wittnessing. I do find praying and being swear that I am slicing wittness, opens many doors, oppertunities, & obedient behavior on my part. I am in a wheelchair I have a bumper sticker on the Back around a red cross " he died for me,,,I live for him. " this has started many conversations with people for me, then God takes over from there.I always feel if we allow it or not ,,, God is in complete control.he will give you the right words to speak at the right time.this can be done thru your love obedience & trust in him.but now I am rambeling, hope something. Made sense for you. Hanng in there if you want to wittness be a wittness.use your eyes ears & heart the lord will do the rest.
