THe commandment of God is to place your faith in the work of the cross. The bible is nothing but a manual telling you how to place your faith in Jesus and His amazing grace at the cross. With our faith placed in this fact, the Holy Spirit begins to shape and mold us in the image of Christ as long as we allow Him too. That 's it in a nut shell, a 4 year old can understand, we make it difficult, not God.

20 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
[h=3]Exodus 20:1-17 is this the commandment we have to follow?[/h]

Luke Chapter 10:

25 And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

26 He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?
27 And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.

28 And he said unto him, Thou hast answered right: this do, and thou shalt live."

It's not very complicated :)

I'm going to predict that no one is going to outright say it is Ok to break any of these commandments, and everyone is going to agree that keeping these commandments is not where our salvation comes from......I don't understand why we have so much arguing over it honestly

there is argument because of this 15 If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15 so to prove our love for him we gotta keep his commandments, now what is the commandments that we must keep to prove our love for him

I'm not either, Donkey, but if I keep the sabbath, I'll be accused of being a cult member. There's lots of different churches that keep sabbath on Saturday these days. I think the Church of God does, there's a Baptist church that does now, and there's even a Presbyterian I've heard of that does up near where I live, though most Presbyterians obviously don't. There's quite a few others as well. I know people that keep sabbath on Saturday and go to church on Sunday. People that have a huge problem with this are just gonna have to live with it. More and more people are observing the 7th day sabbath these days.

Matthew 5:48.... Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

If God gives you the faith to obey this one command, you have NO condemnation... For God's salvation is UNTO A PERFECT MAN, and it is the greatest POWER of GOD to do this.

If you have the time d a study on the POWER OF GOD. And you will realize just how POWERFUL God saves.

Kerry is again so short of what salvation is... It STARTS with teh faith in the cross but it ends in the INHERITANCE of something AFTER the cross....

Read only this one verse and see that AFTER the crosswork on you is done, you INHERIT something. and you CANNOT inherit it untill the crosswork is DONE.... if we keep on sinning we cannot get the crosswork done. But AFTER God forgae us ALL sin and we need no more forgiveness we INHERIT something... look what we do get when God finish the crosswork for us... Acts 26:18

To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

The people do not understand that if God turns you from darness to light, that there IS NO MORE DARKNESS.... Yet they preach that we will always sin as long as we are here in the flesh. They recon the flesh is more powerful than the TURNNG of God. And God only forgive REPENTED sins.... That is how He sanctify in Christ... God sanctify WHOLLY and Holy, not sin and partly.... Even the carnel body undergoes a change in HIS POWER to save.

Faith sanctifies COMPLETELY in JESUS! Then the PERFECT AS YOUR FATHER IS PERFECT realize in the forgiven and saved sinner.... Remember this, it is GOD who perfects, not us. But he perfects ALL WHO RECEIVE PERFECTION.... God says for those that RECEIVED CHRIST.... Christ is perfection, to THEM he gave THE POWER to be the sons of God.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Not one person that dos not receive Christ will EVER be a son of God, and ALL who did receive Christ, IS PERFECT!

That is why ONLY PERFECT PEOPLE WILL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.... And they inherit it right here on earth. They ENTER into Christ RIGHT HERE ON EARTH...And so does He enter into them.

The commandments that say we must keep the commandments to prove we love Him. Hmmmm.

"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:15

John 14:21 "Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”

John 14:21 Those who know my commands and obey them are the ones who love me, and my Father will love those who love me. I will love them and will show myself to them.”

How many did you need?

John 3:16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Is there any other argument that can be made. It does not state that if you attend church on Saturday, It does not state that if you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, It does not state that you must be baptised in water. It does not not state that if you keep law. It does not state that if you eat only lamb and not pork. It doesn't state that if you fast 21 days or do 40 days of purpose. It does not state if you read the bible 3 hours a day and pray for two hours. What does it say?

Please answer. I am waiting.

Matthew 5:19

Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

I'd say this pretty much covers it. All of them. He means to keep all of them, Josh. Even the least.
