"For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will NEVER enter the kingdom of heaven." Matt 5:20

"Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees." Acts 23:6 __Spoken by Paul many years after his experience on the road to Damascus.
these people based their works on self righteous performances.

More False witnessing ! Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
So many people don't agree with the bible as seeing the one man in the first part as Adam who disobeyed, and the second one man as Jesus.
I don't know how people can take this scripture which is so clear out of contexts!

Shalom

Jesus had not yet been crucified, they believed God and He accounted it for righteiusness.

  • Romans 4:3 KJV

For what saith the scripture ? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
  • Galatians 3:6 KJV

Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
  • James 2:23 KJV

And the scripture was fulfilled which saith , Abraham believed God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the Friend of God.
Believing mean trusting alone in Jesus our God!
Another thing must be understood is what is meant by (Imputed).

Shalom

No I have not. Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

You either believe it or you don't !

Context would help your confusion.
There is no confusion, that's where the Truth is found, in that context ! You either believe it or you don't !

That's a Lie. Its by the Obedience of One ! Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

You totally ignore scripture Truth right before your eyes !
I suggest you lay off the crack as by the act of faith we trust into the complete death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for total salvation which is equivalent to being IMMERSED INTO THE BLOOD OF CHRIST AND HAVING IT APPLIED UNTO YOUR LIFE....

One scripture alone does not accurately describe all that takes place when we exercise faith into the work of Jesus....

WOW....You exemplify "wisdom is justified of her children" and follow the works of your father the devil when you start accusing people of lying when they have testified of the truth...so how is your daddy?

2 Corinthians 5:21 We see Gods righteousness imputed to the believer as our sin was imputed to our Savior.

For the cause of Christ

Look at all of these ‘Counted as Righteousness’ NT Passages which reference how Abraham believed in God in OT times (via Gen 15.6)…

· You see that faith worked with his works; and out of the works the faith was made perfected. And the Scripture was fulfilled, saying, ‘And Abraham believed God, and it was counted for righteousness to him;’ and he was called, Friend of God. (James 2.22 -23)

· Even ‘as Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness,’ (Gal 3.6)

· Is this blessedness then on the circumcision, or also on the uncircumcision? For we say the faith ‘was counted to Abraham for righteousness.’ (Romans 4.9)

· Because of this, ‘it was also counted to him for righteousness.’(Romans 4.22)

Well….what was so special about how Abraham believed in God?

Let’s take a look…

Gen 15.1 - 7

After these things The Word of Yahweh came to Abram in a vision, saying, Do not fear, Abram; I am your shield, your reward will increase greatly. And Abram said, Lord Yahweh, what will You give to me since I am going childless and the son of the inheritance of my house is Eleazar of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold! You have given no seed to me; and lo, the son of my house is inheriting of me! And behold! The Word of Yahweh came to him saying, This one shall not be inheriting. But he that shall come forth out of your own bowels shall be your heir. And He brought him outside and said, Look now at the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be. And he believed in Yahweh. And He counted it to him for righteousness. And He said to him, I am Yahweh who caused you to come out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give you this land to inherit it.

Immediately, we can see what it was that made Abraham’s belief in God so special…he believed in The Word of Yahweh (i.e. The Word of God)….i.e. The Second Person of The Trinity, Jesus Christ!

Rom 5:19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Follow the logic. One man's disobedience many were made sinners. Being made a sinner means you actually sin.

So then obedience of one made righteous. this means they are actually righteous. not just a declaration but an actual practice of righteousness. just as those who were made sinners/all of us. actually practice sin

Maybe obedience had been forgotten? So Jesus came to show us what obedience is? Maybe it was kinda like when God used Moses to remind His children how to live. After being in bondage to Egypt for so long. By living how Jesus lived i believe we are made righteous, but God does the work, without Him its impossible.

Ok then follow the logic, do you believe all for whom Christ died shall become obedient ? Yes or No ?

What has been forgotten and ignored is Christ's Obedience and what it effected Rom 5:19

1 Jn 3:7 "...he that doeth righteousness is righteous..."

1 Jn 3:10 "...whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God..."

Acts 10:35 "But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him"

Heb 11:33 "Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions"

1 Tim 6:11 "...and follow after righteousness..."

2 Tim 2:22 "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness,.."

Rom 6:16,18 "...obedience unto righteousness"..."....became the servants of righteousness.."

Rom 10:3 "..... submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God"

Rom 10:10 "...believeth unto righteousness"

Isa 64:5 "Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways:..."

Righteousness is something one does, obeys, serves, works. So the only way one can ever be made righteous by God is by doing God's righteousness. Psa 119:172 "...for all thy commandments are righteousness." So obeying God's commands is doing righteousness, is loving God, Jn 14:15,21. One remains in an unrighteous state until he works/obeys/follows God's righteousness.

No, the Text says many not all.
Then you don't follow the logic ! For it said many both times Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

They way you misunderstand this verse you are creating Universalism.
