What Do You Think Comes Next - In Biblical Prophecy and WHY?

I know when every prophecy is fulfilled, it will all fit what the Bible says perfectly.

I also know when we are trying to predict what comes next, it is like sitting way out on a big tree limb, in very thick fog, cutting away at the limb that you want to drop to the ground. And you cannot see the ground, nor the tree trunk, because of the fog. SO, are you sitting on the trunk side of the big tree limb you are cutting away at, or on the limb side? ? ?

I know that we are in or near the End Times, depending on what you consider it's starting point. AND I know that no one knows the day or hour HE comes back for us; so no predictions of the day or the hour PLEASE. I am just asking what event you think might be next in the foreseeable future?

Technically, I believe there is nothing left that HAS TO BE FULFILLED, before our Bridegroom comes to take us to the Wedding of the Lamb in Heaven. See my thread: THE CALLING OUT OF THE BRIDE http://christianchat.com/bible-disc...ng-out-bride-go-wedding-lamb.html#post1604022

However there are a few events that possibly could happen either prior or after that Day. Such as a War that Leaves the land of Babylon so devastated, that even a sojourner (traveler) will not even spend the night there, (maybe Nukes fired from Iran at Israel are shot down and explode in Iraq)? ? ? Before or After THE CALLING OUT OF THE BRIDE ? ? ? The building of the Third Temple; is it Before or After THE CALLING OUT OF THE BRIDE ? ? ?

Not really sure, for all we know we may be marrying Jesus in five minutes. You want to know something funny? the past few days when I am going to bed I take a nice good shower and get myself as clean as possible and smelling fresh and nice. Not because I was stinky but because if Jesus comes for me that night when i am going to bed or sleeping I want to be nice and clean lol

Mark 13:8 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places, and famines. These are the beginning of birth pains.

Matthew 24:6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

I think that we are over due for another earthquake, but we already been having wars and talks about having wars.

Personally if you look at world events in the middle east, I think that the destruction of Damascus is next.

Prophecy in the OT says that Damascus, which is the capital of Syria will be completely destroyed and will no longer be a city.

LOL, I like the way you think. I have some more good news for you though. This corruptible body is not making the trip, we get a new immortal body like His, in the twinkling of an eye, :)

1 Corinthians 15:50-54 (HCSB)
[SUP]50 [/SUP] Brothers, I tell you this: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and corruption cannot inherit incorruption.
[SUP]51 [/SUP] Listen! I am telling you a mystery: We will not all fall asleep, but we will all be changed,
[SUP]52 [/SUP] in a moment, in the blink of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed.
[SUP]53 [/SUP] For this corruptible must be clothed with incorruptibility {no smelly sweat or b.o., or anything.}, and this mortal must be clothed with immortality.
[SUP]54 [/SUP] When this corruptible is clothed with incorruptibility, and this mortal is clothed with immortality, then the saying that is written will take place: Death has been swallowed up in victory.

Our new bodies will be like HIS resurrected body.

The revealing of the man of sin
And that is certainly a possibility, but the Holy Spirit is the one holding HIM BACK, until HE the Holy Spirit is taken out of the way. I assume that means the Holy Spirit is going back to Heaven, and thus we have to go with HIM, because Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit would never leave us.

That is what I call "The Calling Out of the Bride to go to the Wedding of the Lamb." I stopped using the term "the Rapture" when some of the recent False Prophets perverted the meaning of that term.

Exactly, that part of Matthew is already happening.

We see that on the news, along with pestilence, look at the ebola virus, and this respiratory virus affecting the U.S. right now.

How about "Someone gets to pray with the person who is the last name in the Book of Life under Bride of Christ", to receive Jesus as his or her LORD?

Yeah, I get into debates with those who believe all the OT prophecies have already been fulfilled already in the past.
They use a past event where Damascus was attacked, but I just tell them is it still a city today.
If they say yes, then I say it could not have been fulfilled by that event because the bible clearly says will no longer be a city.

If you're talking about Isaiah 17, that event probably occured when the Assyrians sacked Damascus in ~732 BC. The event is recorded in 2 Kings 16 and the inscriptions of Tiglath Pileser III.

2 Kings16:9 The king of Assyria responded favorably to his request;[SUP] [/SUP]he[SUP] [/SUP]attacked Damascus and captured it. He deported the people[SUP] [/SUP]to Kir and executed Rezin.

I think that God is moving toward His "Last days" prophecy, and God isn't giving us a time table for it and never has. I don't think God wants us to look at that at all, and chuckles as our attempts to pin point them.

But I think we need to watch for how we are to fit into His overall plan for us. We are to listen ever more closely to Him.

What I think God is showing us to look at is the Jew/gentile question. He allowed Hitler to show us how foolish to look at Jews as we did. He established Jerusalem again. Most Jews were allowed to stop their worship policies, now when they know all of scripture they can come to worship fresh. We are allowed a glimpse at the way of God as God taught his principles that are eternal and Christ as part of them. We haven't listened, for ever since Christ was crucified to how the separation of Jew/gentile was no more when Christ was crucified as Matthews explains. Jews didn't listen and gentiles didn't listen.

What we are to do now is not decide on the time table of how God will work with us in the last days, but what God wants from us in these, the last days. He wants all man to worship God together. He wants gentiles to allow Jews, and Jews to allow gentiles without this silly putting Jewish customs between us. Then Jews can accept Christ, and gentiles can allow Jews their customs.
