It starts out by explaining temple worship. The old is vanished and the new is here. Not hard is it? There are 2 verses that have the added word "covenant" referring to the temple made with hands.
Cherry picking a few verses out of the chapter to twist for your argument is not convincing anyone here. What about the word covenant in verse 6?
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. [SUP] [/SUP]For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people
"I will make with the house of Israel after those days.."
NOW is after those days. THIS is the future.
In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
The old covenant is ready to vanish away NOW, as He speaks, which is THEN to us today. The new covenant makes Christ our high priest. We are spiritual jews, hence, the new covenant house of Israel.

You people need to get this old fleshly stumbling block out of your way. Your carnal nature is making you susceptible to damnable doctrine.
You want to tell me the exact reason Paul had to get in Peter's face? Are you aware of that event? Do you understand why Paul was so harsh about it? Peter was toying with his, and others, salvation.
But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? [SUP] [/SUP]We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles,
[SUP] [/SUP]Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

Blood of animals passed away, but the spiritual meaning of blood did not. Priest passed away, but how they explained Christ did not. The temple in Jerusalem passed away, but the spiritual temple did not.

so you still need to be led to Christ, you have not found him yet?

We are given the Holy Spirit to lead, but the law that is part of God and how to express it

No. That is not why the law was given, you have been shown this over and over, the law can not tell you how to express it, all it can do is show you how bad you have failed at expressing it.

given to us did not pass away.
your right, as long as there are unsaved people on earth it will not be completely gone.

But paul said the commands written in stone which paul recieved on the mountain (which he also called th eminister of death) are passing away. do you believe him or not?

We are told that God is love, and that every single law has it's roots in love. It is the essence of God, it cannot be destroyed.
yep. we need love, not law.

This is a typically mean way to tell me to go to hell, for those who have not found Christ are dead in their sins.

Is this another of the arguments against reading or hearing scripture that you constantly give?

I did a search for written, just in the NT and found there were 122 verses, not one saying that what is written passes away, but given something written as something to listen to.

yep. we need love, not law.
Like the love you extent to me?

No, It was just a question.

You said you still need those symbols. Why would you STILL need those symbols if they have laready led you to Christ, One only needs them if they have not yet been led.

Is this another of the arguments against reading or hearing scripture that you constantly give?
No, It is just saying what God CHrist and paul says, I agree with what Paul says, why don;t you?

I did a search for written, just in the NT and found there were 122 verses, not one saying that what is written passes away, but given something written as something to listen to.
You had to search? You have been given the bverse many times, I guess again you prove you do not read what anyone posts.

2 Corinthians 3:7 [ Glory of the New Covenant ] But if the ministry of death, written and engraved on stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of the glory of his countenance, which glory was passing away, [SUP]8 [/SUP]how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more glorious? [SUP]9 [/SUP]For if the ministry of condemnation HAD glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. [SUP]10 [/SUP]For even what was made glorious had no glory in this respect, because of the glory that excels. [SUP]11 [/SUP]For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.

Like the love you extent to me?

if I did not love you, I would let you continue to believe in your fear based law. And not try to show you how yuo can have true joy what what God made new.

You seem to forget. I WAS WHERE YOU ARE NOW. I am not blind to what you believe

Acts 24:10-14 (KJV)
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Then Paul, after that the governor had beckoned unto him to speak, answered, Forasmuch as I know that thou hast been of many years a judge unto this nation, I do the more cheerfully answer for myself:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Because that thou mayest understand, that there are yet but twelve days since I went up to Jerusalem for to worship.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]And they neither found me in the temple disputing with any man, neither raising up the people, neither in the synagogues, nor in the city:
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:

You said you still need those symbols. Why would you STILL need those symbols if they have laready led you to Christ, One only needs them if they have not yet been led.
[] I happen to use the symbol of not eating pork which is frankly none of your business. It is between me and God, only.

[I agagree with every word that Paul says, you state that you do not believe much of what scripture says and I try to get you to accept scripture.

NOW! You are criticizing me for searching scripture. I found 122 verses to your one verse. Perhaps 122 verses would explain your one verse?

And I have been where you are. I have had to go to people to apologize to them for acting as you are in response to my not understanding. So I do have sympathy for you, except when you become rude and abusive. It isn't only opening your eyes to scripture, but you are leading baby Christians away from God, I hope the scripture I give helps them.

What pork has to do with sacrifices and temples I have no idea.

I agree with ALL of what scripture says,

Again you claim I say the law is destroyed, abolished, No longer a part of scripture. I have NEVER SAID THIS. Thats your FALSE ACCUSATION

You found 122 verses that said the law written and engraven in stone is passing away??

I thought you said you found them , and non of them said it was passing away? which is it?

I proved to you that one did. Now your calling me and paul a liar?

And I have been where you are. I have had to go to people to apologize to them for acting as you are in response to my not understanding. You do not get it.

I have said everything you say. I believed everything you believe. I have made the same arguments you make.

I did not know I was in bondage until I was freed.

I think you are just trying to argue! After I have repeated I believe in Christ many times, no.

What pork has to do with sacrifices and temples I have no idea.
Of course, you have not studied scripture enough to know anything about the spiritual meaning of kosher eating. This is ONLY in response to your rudness to me, I am trying to answer politely. My kosher is, I repeat, none of your business.
.

I agree with ALL of what scripture says,

Again you claim I say the law is destroyed, abolished, No longer a part of scripture. I have NEVER SAID THIS. Thats your FALSE ACCUSATION
Then I am mistaken in what you have posted, are you now saying it is OK to listen and obey Christ in connection to law?

]You found 122 verses that said the law written and engraven in stone is passing away??

I thought you said you found them , and non of them said it was passing away? which is it?

I proved to you that one did. Now your calling me and paul a liar?
I found 122 verse about the written law that you have stated we should not listen to. Again, you are trying to twist what I say so you can argue.
You do not get it.

I have said everything you say. I believed everything you believe. I have made the same arguments you make.

I did not know I was in bondage until I was freed.
Christ frees us from sin. Sin is bondage. Being freed does not mean we are never to try to follow Christ, something you are fond of scolding me for, for as you say, I only try and I never make it. So I am told not to try. Or do you deny, now, that is what you tell me to do? What you are freed from I cannot imagine.

See what I mean.

I asked you why you need to remember this

Blood of animals passed away, but the spiritual meaning of blood did not. Priest passed away, but how they explained Christ did not. The temple in Jerusalem passed away, but the spiritual temple did not.
and you go off on some tangent about eating meat.

Why is it you can never stick on subject?

Again, What does eating meat or not eating have to do with any of these things you said?? And my response to THOSE WORDS??

.

Then I am mistaken in what you have posted, are you now saying it is OK to listen and obey Christ in connection to law?

I have never said people should not. Again, You are the one who said I did. Not me.

I found 122 verse about the written law that you have stated we should not listen to. Again, you are trying to twist what I say so you can argue.

Yet you did not look up the word passing away.

So paul lied when he said they were passing away, or he did not. Which is it?
Do I believe you or paul?

Christ frees us from sin. Sin is bondage. Being freed does not mean we are never to try to follow Christ,
Christ freed us from the curse of sin. We still sin, So he did not free us from sin, If he freed us from sin we would never sin again.

Why do you think I asked you if you still sinned? And by the way, Yes I do. I still can not follow the law.. It still condemns me. Thank God he freed me from the CURSE OF THE LAW.

something you are fond of scolding me for, for as you say, I only try and I never make it. So I am told not to try. Or do you deny, now, that is what you tell me to do? What you are freed from I cannot imagine.
Thats ok. Paul tells you what I am free from.

[SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”[SUP][e][/SUP] [SUP]11 [/SUP]But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for “the just shall live by faith.”[SUP][f][/SUP] [SUP]12 [/SUP]Yet the law is not of faith, but “the man who does them shall live by them.”[SUP][g][/SUP]
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”[SUP][h][/SUP]), [SUP]14 [/SUP]that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
