I was wondering about the text that is in brackets in the online version, referring to text that wasnt found in other manuscripts.. for example Matthew 6:13 where the part [For yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen] is in brackets to indicate it wasn't found in other manuscripts. I'm wondering if the actual NASB bible has text in brackets also, or are those parts differentiated from the other text?

Usually text in brackets refers to contextual notes or additions that were inserted as verses in some translations of the Bible but weren't in the original writings. Some translations have those verses just in there...no brackets. Some translations leave those verses out completely.

Anyway, yeah it's in the physical NASB. lol

Dear Hethr, Why not check out the Thompson Chain Reference Bible if it comes in the NASB version. I think it does. You can get one in the KJV or the NIV. I think it also comes in NKJV and NASB. Check out Kirkbride Bible Company of Indiana. God bless you. In Erie June 2011 AD Scott R. Harrington

I believe in the Greek Majority Text, I think those Scriptures are really the Bible, brackets or no brackets. The majority of Text have those verses. I don't think they can really prove the other Text are older.

Bracketed verses usually mean they aren't in the majority of the manuscripts. Like the KJV included 1 John 5:7, but it's not in the original manuscripts and parts of Acts 9:5-6.

Pleased to say after much research and agonizing I ordered my bible today :D I had a good coupon at Borders so that somewhat influenced my decision. Ended up with the Zondervan Nasb Study Bible burgundy leather.

Yea when it says that, it means it wasn't part of the actual manuscripts, that's what I also like about the NASB
