That's a good question and one I've also thought about. Since Jesus said the Holy Spirit would not come until He left... AND He even said it would be GOOD when that happened., (which was a WOW moment when I saw it written in the Bible)
I believe that 'no' those who were Jesus disciples were not signed...sealed believers. They had the knowledge of the truth but they were not born again.
They cast out demons., they even healed but the were not yet born again. Judas was also doing those things., Judas was not born again.
John 7:37-39
[SUP]37 [/SUP]Now on the last day, the great
day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. [SUP]38 [/SUP]He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, [SUP][a][/SUP]from within him shall flow rivers of living water.
[SUP]39 [/SUP]But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believed on him were to receive: [SUP][b][/SUP]for the Spirit was not yet given; because Jesus was not yet glorified.
Acts 1:5-8 [SUP]5 [/SUP]for John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized [SUP][
a][/SUP]in the Holy Spirit not many days hence.[SUP]
6 [/SUP]They therefore, when they were come together, asked him, saying, Lord, dost thou at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?
[SUP]7 [/SUP]And he said unto them, It is not for you to know times or seasons, which the Father hath [SUP][
b][/SUP]set within his own authority. [SUP]8 [/SUP]But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be my witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
