Ezekiel 20:47 “And say to the forest of the south, Hear the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched, and all faces from the south to the north shall be burned therein.”

The verses you posted remind me of several things. Life is fragile. Mortals we are. And so all is temporary in this world. So priorities. Set mind on things above. Colossians 3.

Yes, set your sights on the invisible things from above and not the visible things from below. For the fashion of this world is determined to pass away.

1 Corinthians 7:31
And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away.

1 John 2:17
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Luke 21:33
Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

Jesus said, "The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have spoken to you--they are full of the Spirit and life." One of His best known parables uses an agricultural reference, comparing both Him and His Word to seeds, and compares us to the ground that receives such seed. God grant that I may be counted among the ground that received Your seed to bring forth fruit.
