I was studying the bible today and read a few scriptures that stuck to my heart.

Colossians 3:12-17 states....
"
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering;
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."

My point in saying this is that why is there so much hatred expressed today in Christianity. Whether it be us against the muslims, whether it be protestants against catholics, Seventh day adventists against protestants, and on this website if one has a difference of opinion about another there is expressed aggression. Why is that?

The bible teaches us to love. Not just those who share our beleifs. God loved us even when we were still sinners, he sent his son to die for our sins. He still loved us. He still loves us. We are made in his image and should love everyone. I feel we are our own worst enemies. <meaning, we are destroying ourselves... how can we bring people to Christ without showing love?>

please tell me your thoughts. And if you have time share another scripture that mentions LOVE.
