An angry Christian is an oxymoron. Think about it. We are to love one another. Love. Love always thinks the best.
1 Corinthians 13:4,5 - Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. (5) it is not rude, self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
Remember this song, They will know we are Christians by our love, by our love, yes they'll know we are Christians by our love.

We can disagree with each other but we can disagree in love not in anger. Just thought I would remind us all of this. Because I love you all and I love God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

May you all have a blessed day blessing others.

Anger can be used for good, if we manage it correctly. Sometimes anger is the appropriate response.

I thought there were some verses about righteous anger being ok, or...something? Rats, now I'll have to look for that. And didn't Jesus get angry, too?

There is righteous anger and unrighteous anger.Righteous anger is mixed with grief and it is directed at sin,but we don't go around being angry people, unrighteous anger is egotistical and is vengeful unforgiving and bitter, its pride.

Yes MissCris

Mark 3:3-5 (KJV)
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]And when he had looked round about on them with anger, being grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith unto the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it out: and his hand was restored whole as the other.

I figure you must control that anger sose it does not lead to sin. Jesus was without sin. He did get angry on a few occasions. So...anger itself is not sin.

So when Jesus turned over tables, and ran the merchants out of the temple, he was doing that in love, not anger?

You all, I think she means we can disagree, but it should not be out of disdain. Yes, Jesus was angered, but He did it because they were dishonoring the Temple. He did not talk down to them, which I think she means here.

Jesus let man's own conscience convict them, in the temple he over turned the tables and sat and was making a whip those religous leaders own consciences did the convicting, thinking Jesus was probably going to lash them or something, no matter it just made them madder than they already were. Even when they brought a woman caught in adultery quoting Law to him the Law says to stone her to death and he replied okay he that is without sin throw the first stone after he had written in the sand with his finger, I bet it probably was the oldest ones sin that he saw Jesus write in the sand, seeing that Jesus knew his sins he left, and the others followed, Jesus did not convict, but he showed us the conviction under the Law and how by the Law that no one is going to make it to heaven. So he went to the cross to take it all away our stress but man just still wants to go by Law this and Law that. When he by himself purged the Law fulfilled it and this is what takes away sin not being under Law. Seeing it this way gets and sees the peace that passes all understanding, quietness and confidence forGod by Faith through the cross has given oyu the believer righteousness his to pass around, no anger

what is that verse be angry and do not sin
Ephesians 4:26“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,

Why would Paul say this? because if one gets angry it can and does lead to sin I have not known anytime when I got angry and sin was knocking on my door, just like Cain
[SUP]6 [/SUP]Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? [SUP]7 [/SUP]If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”
All from anger he just could have accepted and sought to learn and try again, but he had a bad motive

Jesus only did and said what the Father told him to do or say. Turning over the tables andacting like oyu are angry by emotions is not necessarily being angry

Wow, points I hadn't considered. What a wealth of knowledge and insight we have here.

Yes, I did mean not to have disdain for each other, not to lash our in anger or let our anger rule our actions. Non believers should not see Christians as angry, generally speaking, and when anger is appropriate we still need to act appropriately and let it be known we are angry at a behavior, a person.

Loved all the responses. Thank you.

Thank you! This is a wonderful reminder of Love, which is an action word.

1 John 3:18 Dear Children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth.

Love doesnt rejoice in iniquity either, but here are a few oxymorons accepted in the false church today:

A saved sinner
Jesus is our example and our substitute at the same time
I am the Romans wretch and chief of sinners
Jesus took my place on the cross as well as my wrath
I am a free will sinner
Carnal Christian
A repentant sinner who continues in his or her vile sins
Saved In sin
Christian tattoo artists
Christian Homosexual and lesbian
I could go on, I know many will not like what I post here, but the truth wil come to light on judgement day, dont hate the messenger, dig deep and come to true repentance and faith proven by deeds!

I think it depends on where your heart is. Why are you angry? If it's because someone is spouting blasphemy against God, or if someone is knowingly leading one of God's people to sin or to lead them away from Christ, then yes we should get angry, but if your angry over someone else's opinion, then you just need to let it roll off your shoulder

Exodus 4:14And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses, and he said, Is not Aaron the Levite thy brother? I know that he can speak well. And also, behold, he cometh forth to meet thee: and when he seeth thee, he will be glad in his heart.

Holy anger.

God has anger, wrath and hatred. Some of it is directed against persons and people.

Those who don't believe or accept this do not believe in the one true God, presented in the Bible.

I love my children and i get angry when they do things i have asked, told and pleaded with them not to do.

Why?

Because at this time i know best for them and want to keep them safe and well.

Then there are some people who take their anger and frustration out on their children who have not done anything to deserve such treatment.

different types of anger.
