It can also mean that no one person is the spokesperson for a certain cause, such as in the 12 step programs, where anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all their traditions, ever reminding them to place principles before personalities. Nobody is more important than another. We are to practice genuine humility, and make unity more a priority than having our say or way.
