I love seeing the cards line up backing all of the prophesies we read about in Matthew and Revelation. Do you think these asteroids/meteors are part of the prophesy, or just mere coincidence? I would think if it was part of Biblical prophesy they would have more of an impact (no pun intended) in the news and actual devastation. Could these be the "signs in the sky" that was talked about in the Bible?

Whatever it means, my soul's delight would be to see my God face to face. Like that song goes, would I be able to stand or would I fall to my knees. I don't know, but I know I will have eternity with Him.

Reminds me of when Christ said,

Luke 10:18

King James Version (KJV)

18 And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

this word lightning can be translated star. Lucifer also meaning star...

What I do know is. If some one descends from Heaven , performing supernatural miracles ; claiming to be Christ, tomorrow, I'm going to stand against him..... Would you ?

Absolutely. I would die before I took any mark on my hand (though don't have to worry about that since we'll be raptured beforehand) or forehead, too.

Well Jesus talked about various things that must come first, one that the gospel be preached around the world to every nation, which hasnt happened yet since we still have alot of places in african, asian, and middle eastern (part of asia) that dont Christ still. Thats only part of the end.

Psa 9:20 Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

First I ask we all pray for those victims of the Russian fireball, the injured and those who have not shelter from the frigid weather at present. Second, and this is ironic, the media here in Spain was reporting on how it is practically impossible for any meteor, asteroid, or whatever to enter the earth's sphere undetected, then lo, the incident in Russia, and apparently the incidents in California and Cuba.

Whether these incidents have anything to do with prophecies of the Word or not, our Father does what He says He will do, and He will do what He has informed His children.

Of course my thoughts went immediately to the prophecies of Revelation, and perhaps in that regard, it has to do directly with what Yahweh, God has foretold through John. I mean, the event makes people think of His Word, amen.

if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel. This is the gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven, and of which I, Paul, have become a servant Col 1:23

That verse makes a world of difference when it comes to certain beliefs and interpretations. In my 31 years of living I never noticed that verse until a year ago...and I have studied the bible since I could read.

Sodom was destroyed by fire and brimstone raining on them from out of the sky so it can be a sign from God.

or it could be a hunk of rock from space coming into contact with the earth and not mean anything from Revelations.

Unfortunately this is one of the problems with strict literalism. It might have been true in Paul's world, but we must understand that Paul's world was very limited, mostly to places around the Mediterranean Sea, including Libya, Egypt, Arabia, Syria, Greece, Crete, Cyprus, and Italy. Many places on earth have not heard the gospel, hence the continuing need for missionary work.
