I don't believe you will get an apostle or prophet from a cessationist church, because they don't believe it. End of story. They don't recieve the Baptism of the Holy Spirit, because they don't believe. They don't get miracles, because they don't believe. They don't get apostles and prophets, because they don't believe. Jesus wouldn't even do a miracle in a cessationist church! Jesus did miracles where people believed. I doubt that Zone or any other cessationist will ever see a miracle on Earth and trying to find them by looking from far away is sort of sad. You might never know the truth of the matter because you live in a bubble of unbelief and try to look for it from your bubble.

I totally agree with you there are no need for either one now. I've been around people who claim to be an apostle or prophet, but their actions and words didn't match scripture.

The thought behind this thread was to gather different beliefs on this...I did give simple questions.
Then in another thread i wanted to give my response to the results. Then let it go.

All liars will have their part in the lake of fire

Soemthing I've been learning the past days is there's no point in arguing about OSAS cause we as Christians will never agree on it cause there's scriptures to back up both sides.:)

It appears that its acceptable to emotionalize a doctrinal view. there is nothing wrong with passion.
but noone wants your passion. Thats why there is a fruit of the Spirit called selfcontrol.
And what happened to the exhortation to esteem every one higher than yourself, is that played
out by throwing redicilously overkill words that arnt even close to being true. Do you split your
firewood with a nuclear devise?

Everyone seems to think that scripture is complete. And that because of this, God is not speaking to us any more, because He is finished speaking. In other words, we are telling God to shut up, He has said enough to us and we can handle things on our own now.

This ignores one very simple and very important fact. And if this premiss is true, then none are saved anymore either, and have not been since scripture was closed.

We are living epistles. We are the writing of God, living before the world, each of us. The living words of God.

We have things backwards. The written word is finished, but the living word of God is growing still, as each part of the body is added by the Holy Spirit. This is the work that God is doing, and He will continue to do it, until Jesus returns to receive His bride who will be clean and pure and white and spotless and perfect.

No amount of ignorant opposition by unbelievers will stay His hand.

I dont' believe that God has stopped speaking, but there are no new revelations for Him to need prophets.
