Abiding, now I am very pleased I read this thread and I hope and pray to God that HE GIVES ME THE WISDOM TO SHOW YOU WHAT GOD DOES TODAY.... First of ALL... I am not going to refer to false prophets... Abiding there are way more fasle teachers than Truth teachers. And there are MANY false prophets, and that disqualify them to be prophets...so from now on when I mention the word prophet, I talk about GOD'S HOLY MEN. Ok! Get this when I say the word prophet I talk about A HOLY MAN WITH THE GIFT OF AND APPOINTMENT GIVEN BY GOD AS PROPHET.
Abiding not a single prophet has EVER spoken from HIS OWN will.... 2 Peter 1:21... For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Now if we look at the term "old time" there is an explanation to the term. OLD TIME... It also means...AT ANY TIME... And this is VERY important to take it into consideration... Becasue prophecy can be SPOKEN at any TIME GOD WANTS IT TO BE SPOKEN... BY HIS HOLY MEN.
As we do not even agree of the level of holiness of these men, we really need God to show us how holy these people were. And this verse actually says it ALL... They were MOVED by the HOLY SPIRIT!...They were MOVED BY GOD... GOD DID THEIR ACTIONS AND THEIR WORDS...GOD SPOKE, NOT THEM!!!
When a person is holy, he is holy BECASUE THE HOLY SPIRIT IS HIS CONTROL SYSTEM... No man can EVER be holy if the SPIRIT OF GOD IS NOT THE ONLY SPIRIT IN HIM. Get this my friend and this time please put your feelings towards me aside... If you ask me this time not to talk to you again, I will respect your wish. This is like my final time to show you my heart and my faith and my hope on Christ Jesus, and HIS TRUTH.
Any man that GOD DECLARES A HOLY MAN, like He did here in 2 Peter 1:21, is a man GOD MADE HOLY. No man can act holy, becasue holines is not an act. No man can be holy if the HOLY SPIRIT is not the ONLY OPERATOR in that person... And the Holy Spirit can only do GOD'S will. If God gives a man the Holy Spirit as the ONLY indwelling Spirit in the man, you have to agree that that man is as holy as God. As holy as Jesus. Now we look at this man God gave His Spirit too... When the Holy Spirit comes into this man, the Spirit also comes with at least one gift. These gifts are well set out in the chapter1 Corinthians 12. One of these gifts is PROPHECY... Now! You also agree that prophecy and the gift will continue for the edifying of the Body...SEE we believe the same, now let me just show you what God showed me... That person that talks there in the church when HE PROPHECY, I as holy as the prophet that prophecied THOSE EXACT SAME WORDS before him. And the SAME SPIRIT THAT WAS IN THE PROPHET THE FIRST TIME, IS THE SAME SPIRIT THAT IS IN THE NEW PROPHET=== The Holy Spirit. Prophecy was, is and always be the HOLY SPIRIT SPEAKING. And look at the church in 1 Corinthians 14.... THE HOLY SPIRIT IS IN CONTOL 100%. Not a single word is spoken in a gathering of THE CHURCH, where the HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT SPEAKING ALL THE WORDS!! Even the songs ...the psalms is HOLY SPIRIT INSPIRED... Abiding I have NEVER been in such a church, does that now qualify me to say there is no such church? Please read 1 Corinthians 14:26 to 40 NOW, Before you continue to read this... Wait let me post it here, just incase there is someone that does not have a Bible with him or her... How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying. (Every single word that will be uttered here, in song, in doctrine, in tongue, in revelation, in interpretation (translation) will be 100% for ONE PURPOSE...To edify... Edification also has many subdivisions...like teaching, prophecies, repremandation, correction...but in the Church in the COMING TOGETHER, In the congregation in the meeting... this will transpire..this scripture we are reading now..
1Co 14:27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret. Again if there already spoke three people in tongues and they were intrepeted, and a fourth stands up to speak in another tongue, then we should know...it is not from GOD!!! that is how sharp we should be... we should tell that person to keep quiet, and we should have our eye on him becasue he already went out what is written. Or there can stand up a true prophet and prophecy right there against the man.
1Co 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. Again.. if one spoke and there is no intrepeter and he still speaks, he obviously disobeyed the HOLY SPIRIT, if it was the Holy Spirit that was talking in the first place.. I would already have my doubts, bt maybe again God will prophecy against the man FOR OUT EDUCATION AND EDIFICATION!
1Co 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge. Look we should let the PROPHETS SPEAK...And i know you said these were prophets for the writing of the Bible, and I agree the Bible is FINISHED WRITING, BUT THE BIBLE IS NOT FINISHED LIVING!!! So the PROPHECIES must live on. Even this one.... LET THE PROPHETS SPEAK...And LOOK ABIDING WE AGREE... They should not go outside the Word of God with a single word... (Why should a woman that knows more about God ask her man what she did not understand in church? SO THAT SHE ALLOWS GOD TO RESTORE HER HOME AS HE INTENDED IT TO BE...SHE ALLOWS GOD TO REINSTATE THE MAN, HER MAN, AS THE SPIRITUAL LEADER OF THE HOUSE....The fact that the man is in church with her is the proof that God called the man, and the man heard, that is why he is in church! And becsause the man showed God that he wants to be EDIFIED WITH THE Body of CHRIST, God will bles the man to RECIEVE the Truth, and to help his woman and kids at home. That is how God makes the man the PRIEST of his house. The woman might have been the one that sanctified the unbelieving husband, but God will turn that man to be the priest that will be able to teach teh wife. 1 Cor 7:14... For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy.
