And there are those that do the work of a pastor and those that do the work of an evangelists and the work of a teacher but there are no pastors, evangelists nor teachers.

What is good for the goose is good for the gander. We can't separate them out. They are all gifts from the Lord to the body of Christ.

The word apostle means 'sent'. When a person is saved, they are given a new spirit from Christ. This is described as being raised up to heaven or to Christ in the inner man. Such a person is then sent, so to speak, to the world for whatever task that person has in Christ. In a sense, all persons who are saved (true believers) are sent.

i think what you are saying is anyone who adds more than what we have already been given by HIS WORD, makes clearly manifest that he/she is a false apostle and false prophet?

Ye shall be MY WITNESSES

We are sent to testify by THAT WITNESS in us who is testifying with our spirit to THE TRUTH of ONE GOSPEL

We are sent for the whole purpose of pointing men and women to Christ

ONE TESTIMONY
ONE GOSPEL


If someone claiming to be sent brings more or something different...he is a liar

No matter what the other apostles said, Matthias was not an apostle, and did not replace Judas, Paul did. Read post #3.

No, there was only one qualification, yes just one- they must be hand-selected by Christ in person- no middle man. Jesus hand-selected Paul (not Matthias) to replace Judas, when He met him on the road to Damascus. The scriptures say "Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, by the Will of God." He was "born out of season" meaning he wasn't chosen in the same timeframe as the other apostles. But he is an apostle. Good thing, since most of the New Testament was written through him.

One from each of the 12 tribes of Israel (Jacob) from the Old Testament, and the 12 apostles from the New Testament, make up the 24 elders around God's throne. So if anyone claims to be an apostle of Christ, they are claiming that they are one of twelve hand-picked in person by Christ Himself, oh and that they are over 2017 years old.

There are many disciples of Christ, I'm one of them, and we are all priests in Christ, but no one on earth today is an apostle of Christ.

The word of God is not the teaching of, as coming from, or after the Apostles anymore than were they the teachings of coming after Baalam's Ass who restrained the madness of that false prophet, false apostle. God is not served by human hands in that way .He has no needs but satifies all ...moving creature by a work of His faith as a labor of His love.

True apostles they are sent with His word as "His interpretation" .Not a private interpretation as a comentary of the apostles,


He does the teaching, guiding and comforting and brings to our mind that which he has taught us, humbling us. He will not share that glory unseen with men seen .He warns of of those (antichrists (many) who would say we do need men to teach us

One qualification to be sent as an apostle... Go .........and don't forget who does the sending. Bring home every thing written on the list and don't bring extra grocerecies, or in the case of Christianity don't add to the word of God and be proved to be a false prophet, false apostle .
