This is what Jesus meant,why do you call Me good.Jesus is fully God,and fully man,for He is God manifest in the flesh.
Now we know Jesus is good,so why did He say that.
Jesus was saying why call Me good,for there is one that is good,and that is God,meaning I am only good because God causes Me to be good,giving glory to God why He can go about doing good,and not glory to Himself.
That is because the man appraoched Jesus,not recognizing His deity,but approached Him as a man,so the man Christ Jesus gave glory to God for why He can go about doing good.
If the man would of approached Jesus recognizing His deity,and relating to Him according to His deity,Jesus would of said,you are right,I am good.
Now we know Jesus is good,so why did He say that.

I am NOT a good person...for I am flawed and sinful as a broken human being...I am however justified by Jesus Christ...and that's good enough for me! As sanctification is taking over each and everyday Praise be to God

Yeah.. occassionally in my walk with Jesus I might have stayed away from a certain kind of sin for a long time.. start feeling like I am a lot freer and praising Jesus for it.. then I start getting the wrong focus and start getting proud of myself for not doing the sin.. what happens?
I would generally fall into THAT VERY SIN.
Yeah so I am what they would call a .. 'lower than the belly of a snake.. dirty rotten sinner'..
It's the human condition..
I have been justified by Jesus and forgiven.. that doesn't mean I am good. Only God is good in the right sense of the word 'good'

1PETER 1:13-14-15-16-17.
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end,
for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
But as He which has called you is Holy, so be you Holy in all manner of conversation;
Because it is written, Be you Holy; for I Am Holy.
And if you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man's work,
pass the time of your sojourning in fear:
we are to no longer walk in the corruption of the 'fallen Adam', but we are to walk in the
righteousness of the 'risen Christ'.....

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,....
the GIFT of our new jouney/new life, is to walk as Paul....
as it is written,
Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ'.......
