Has anyone noticed how often we ask god something but it seems we never get a response? The one most often asked is (Why?) Why god is this happening to me? why god will you not help me? why god will you not answer me? Why god can i not feel you? I have asked all of these many times, but i think god is silent to us when we ask these things sometimes because honestly its a no brainer. i mean think about it, if he held our hand the whole time we would never grow strong would we? He wants us to learn he will be with us the whole time but he is letting learn to walk like a kid does when they are done crawling. So then what are the right questions? Maybe its more like (How?) How god will you use this situation? How god will you answer me? How god will you help me? How god will you will you make your presence known to me? I do not feel like i should be talking because odds are i will break and ask god the why questions again, but hey at least we made it to the point as to know the right question right? I don't even understand why i made this threadLOL i just felt compelled to make it and explain they why and how situation we are faced with everyday. I know everyday we have a choice to live for him or for ourselves, often times its' just little everyday things that matter the most. It's not even like we have to sacrifice a lot to be close to him either, he even will take 30 minutes of bible worship and turn it into something great. That's how amazing his grace is:] Although i am one of those ppl who cannot stand to not spend time with him all day everyday, he is very addictive but i also have the advantage to have all the free time in the world. But does that mean that for everyone who can only spend 30 minutes with him will not have the same amount of spiritual growth as one with free time like me? Of course not, god can use that 30 minutes and it will be like an all day thing to him:]

I found that questions help us to grow as long as we have faith that God will do what is best for us. changing Why into How is a good first step.

I like the prayer: Lord How can I share Your love with others today?

Has anyone noticed how often we ask god something but it seems we never get a response? Because we ask within OUR will and not His The one most often asked is (Why?) Why god is this happening to me? Because there are open doors through which the enemy can operate on your life. why god will you not help me?Because there things in your life that Prevent Him from helping you; unconfessed (or even realized) and unrepented sin is most common why god will you not answer me? He answers when we ask the right...RIGHT questions...i.e. What have I done? What do I need to do so that You can help me? Show me what it is that I don't understand about You so that I can pupose to do things Your way. Etc Why god can i not feel you?God is not a feeling. No where in scripture is it even suggested that God is a 'feeling'. He is SPIRIT and He is always present, everywhere. We have to get that FACT in our heads and not rely on feelings when can be false! I have asked all of these many times, but i think god is silent to us when we ask these things sometimes because honestly its a no brainer. i mean think about it, if he held our hand the whole time we would never grow strong would we? That's how amazing his grace is:] Although i am one of those ppl who cannot stand to not spend time with him all day everyday Then how can you say you LOVE Him? For when a person is in love, he/she desires to spend every waking moment with the Object of that love. he is very addictive but i also have the advantage to have all the free time in the world. But does that mean that for everyone who can only spend 30 minutes with him will not have the same amount of spiritual growth as one with free time like me? You think that when you have so much free time and you desire to NOT spend it with the Lord that you are growing spiritually?? You are not. You are acting in lazy and selfish, self-centered ways. And so, if a person that is busy and has only 30 minutes to spend and does spend it with the Lord, they will grow much more rapidly because of their attitude and desire to KNOW Him. Of course not, god can use that 30 minutes and it will be like an all day thing to him:] Really? Are you so shallow as to think that God (not god, BTW) does not know our schedules and attitudes and He will be satisfied with 30 minutes while you spend 3 HOURS playing video games or whatever? If so, then you do not KNOW God's Character.
I understand that you are a very new/baby Christian, so this type of immature thinking can be easily overlooked and forgiven. He is to be FIRST in our lives. You do not have to sit or even stand still to be in His presence and to pray and talk to Him or worship Him. Talk to Him throughout the day. Pray in the spirit (are you baptized in the Holy Spirit?? 2nd baptism...Acts 2, read it.)
Spending time with Him is NOT a chore. Don't treat it like one.

Hey Blain and all How is one ? and Why is another one and we are trying to see the connection to Faith right?
Is there a connection to Faith actual Faith in Christ with the How's and Why's?
Think for a minute, How Lord is this Faith without a doubt? Why Lord is this Faith without a doubt? It seems to me that the How's and Why's along with the please please please all exert a little doubt yes maybe?
Do you think maybe God would prefer us to be like a mighty Oak tree that was a small nut that stood its ground
Do we know how small a tiny mustard seed is and how big this seed grows.
Luke 17:6And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.

Having Faith in God and excercising Faith in God are completely differant, it is like hearers and doers but be ye doers not hearers only
Ex:you just lost your job and you are of flesh immediately worried, where is next, why, how and all the doubt ?'s trying to muster up Faith in God
How God you already know the situatioin I am in I do not know how I am going to survive this crises nor do I know why it is here and God I am not going to waste my flesh energy on this any longer, today I am going to trust you in this knowing that you said you will supply all my needs. Now Father I am going to go out and pound the pavement in search for the new job you have for me and I want to thank you in advance knowing that somehow I will be delivered through this crises. Now this is excercising Faith, trusting God, but it does not mean we sit and go nowhere or do nothing
Ex: one can be in weightroom and not lift weights, thus if not lift then no being in shape.
Faith in Christ is without a doubt in Christ and his finished work, so we can move and have our being in him in all things that we do or not do

Perhaps the answer is there. Sometimes we forget to look for the answer. Constantly watching is part of growth and part of disciple is discipline.

For My thoughts are not your thoughts, niether are your ways My ways, declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:8

There is no question that is wrong, however it is our motives that may be wrong, behind the question. For example, if you get sick and whine about it like you think because you are a Christian you are exempt from sickness, then it is my personal opinion, your why is not coming from a right heart. If your heart is aching because of child abuse or abortion and you ask the Lord why then your heart is on the right track. God never forgets our prayers. In His perfect timing, when you least expect it He will answer your prayers. Answered prayers don't happpen the way we expect sometimes. We can't do d,e,f until we learn a,b,c. We need to be still and listen to Him, which is hard to do. We want what we want when we want it. Our Father in heaven knows our needs and we need to trust Him. I will leave you with this James 5:16

Well then ask with the rigth motive andyou will receive. What is the right motive?
I read the whole Chapter of James 5 and there is a lotsaid in there and I see it as we might need to see this and be healed between each other we all already are healed btween God ans us each individually for Christ did that for us each individually at the cross therefore let's
Lesson your judgement of others. You never see the whole picture. Never.
there are 1,000 reasons a person can behave a particular way. You don't know what is going on in their movie that motivates them to act in that way. You never know how you'd behave if you were in their shoes. Today little by little, learn to be more forgiving. Learn to where you can come from a place of help, rather than Judgement.

Judgements are only based on what one sees, from their owns thoughts. From their own experiences. There is truly only one that knows all. that one would be and is the creator of all.
If one learns to listen to the creator as Jesus Christ revealed to all mankind. (He taught us, to do nothing or say nothing w/o Father's instruction first and foremost), we would make the right judgements, with out condemnation. ( coming from the one listening)
The ones that argued would reveal their true selves, as was done in the day of visitation from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Steer clear from arguements, seek the truth in all things and one shall be free from the world and it's traps.

And let us do this: have the right motive in the desiret know God personally
"Comfort Me by letting Me know that you would see Me just to dwell in My Presence. Not for teaching, not for material gain, not even for a message, but for Me. The longing of the human heart to be loved for itself is something caught from the Great Divine Heart."

Blaine - I like the switching from Why to How I think that is the point - we will all have trials in this life and HOW God's uses them is based on His design not ours. There was a time when I would get very upset if something didn't go the way I thought it should - but I make a concerted effort not not to let these things upset me. I tell myself "ok, God, you must have something else in mind. Something better." When I do realize I'm worrying, focusing on the wrong things, I will tell the devil to leave me alone, go away, I'm not listening! My questions now are more often "Am I on the right path? Is this where You want me to be, what You want me to be doing?"

Blain, for a completely different spin on this question, think of how the Hebrew mind looked at it. They didn't ask the question in the first place, they weren't interested in why as our Western mind is. They were interested in learning facts and how those facts worked in their life.

This is shown so well in Genesis. Our western mind probes into many questions, like how did creation happen, time involved, and why. God didn't fully explain all these things. God told every fact the Hebrews were interested in, and how to use the information in life. The western mind has been probing into it ever since so what God told us fits with our mind set.

It isn't that the Hebrew mind is the only right way, or our way is the only right way. It is just that by knowing this we can better understand our life from God's point of view.

If I am asking these questions. . .I'm thinking to much about me, lol. . .

I just try to remember that "it rains on the just and the unjust".

i mean think about it, if he held our hand the whole time we would never grow strong would we? He wants us to learn he will be with us the whole time but he is letting learn to walk like a kid does when they are done crawling.
Like.
You ask too many questions! lol. . . I think really if we would take our minds off ourselves and think about others we wouldn't even bother with those questions.

Why do we need to know How God will answer us?. . .How he will help us?. . .His presence is with us daily - minute by minute - second by second - don't ya know? - he dwells in you.

I don't even understand why i made this threadLOL i just felt compelled to make it and explain they why and how situation we are faced with everyday. I don't think God uses a stop watch to measure how much time we spend with him. . .he just knows. And it's the same as time we spend with loved ones. . .it's not exactly the quantity of the time but the QUALITY!:)
