every major holiday we celebrate are also the day of astronomical events. solistice, equinox, and the half way points between them are all holidays. these days are, Groundhog Day (Feb. 2nd), May Day (May 1st), Lammas Day (Aug. 1st), and Halloween (Oct. 31st). Christmas and Easter are solstice and equinox events.
the entire calendar and holidays are based on astrological events. this was something i had studied before i became a believer. the pagan stories in many ways reflect what we as christians believe. so much so that even the names of stars and planets form the story. as an example winter solstice actually forms a cross in the heavens.orions belt is also known as the three kings. it is when days become longer and the sun is born. the zodiac symbols align with it, we have been in the age of pisces symbolized by a fish. there are many well documented and researched papers on the internet about it.
i understand some people may not like this post. greek and eygptian mythology, also had very similar figures in theirs to christianity. their pagan holidays were celebrated during the same astrological events we celebrate. is it possible that before Christ, God was adopting people as his children? but because they didn't know God, they made their own stories about why these people had these experiences?
if anything this confirms my faith. even before christianity, the stars tell his story. even before christianity people were telling his story to each other. even before the bible, people were being conformed to it. he is the biological Son of God, the manifestation of the Spirit in flesh. everyone was looking for him long before he was born. we look and see he is still with us now. the Spirit of God has been working with us since the creation of man. the bible teaches us how we can become his brother. it is the greatest story every told and we are all part of it. we always have been. Jesus will save everyone in the end. its what he came here for.
