Sorry, there just ain't enough text allowed per post to post ALL of Gods attributes here!

So I will post just one. The most important and biggest and best of ALL His attributes.

God is love.
Rudimental,

I'm just putting a thought out there. Okay.

God is One. I wonder if our or my dividing or separating God attributes is accurate.

Thought about this issue today, thanks to this thread. That's good.

Okay, so the Bible says God is light. In Him is no darkness. None at all. Zero. 1 John. Don't recall the chapter, think it's 1 or 2.

God is light. He is One. God is love. But and I'm not sure about this, I could be wrong, God is light does not separate from is not different from God is love.

Everything God does, is a revelation of God.

Since God is One, is not love, light, just, holy, etc. all one in Him?

Being human, I can be patient and kind one day, and the next be rude and obnoxious. Hateful. (I can, as in it is possible - Oh no, I hope that doesn't lead into a heated debate with someone.)

God is love. Why? Because He is God. Can that love be separated from God is light. Only as a means of revealing who God is.

Maybe I can spell it out this way: God is One is (lightloveholyjustrightalmighty).

Maybe this: God is light. God is love. Which is more powerful? Neither. For God is One. Is God is love greater than God is light?

Maybe this: God is love at a power of 10. God is light at a power of 10. God is holy at a power of 10. God is light is love is holy. One. God.

I just hashed that out while replying. Not to be argumentative, not to stir up trouble. I was thinking about God is today and then read your post.

Hope you don't mind.

Should've been: Is God is love greater than God is light?

No, this is not a punctuation error: (lightloveholyjustrightalmighty).

Well it says God is the way, the truth, the light....

Jesus was humble, even to His earthly parents. Probably changed a few diapers in His time XD

God is faithful and just to forgive us. He is like the patient and just parent who never disciplines his children out of anger but lovingly teaches us through patient understanding.

  1. “My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline and do not resent his rebuke, because the LORD disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in” (Proverbs 3:11-12; see also Hebrews 12:5-11). God will use testing, trials, and various predicaments to bring us back to Himself in repentance.

hehe that's fine. I always like to stir something up in people! :D

Great post.

God is indeed light. A light that has no beginning and has no end. A light that will shine forever and forever light the path of mankind. But also a light that is currently incomprehensible to us to understand in full.

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

God is indeed love too. A love with no beginning and no end. And God's love for us is better than life itself!

Psalm 63:3 KJV Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Psalm 63:3 NIV Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you.

And indeed, God is one. He is everything that is and is to come. Seen and unseen. He is what makes 0+0=1. He makes everything that is come from nothing just by speaking it into existence. I guess He has much better voice recognition software than we do. ;)

So based on what we know about light. And based on what we know about love. And that it was love that loved us first before we loved Him. What is greater to say about God and most descriptive at the same time? To say that God is light? God is one? Or to say that God is love?

God is one. Indeed! God is the beginning and end of all things. He is everything from time to eternity and all thats between.
God is light. Indeed! God is light. And it's such a beautiful and incomprehensible light that has no beginning or end.
God is love. Indeed! God is love. Because love is good. And God is good. Therefore if God is love, God must be good!

Which of these is greater and more explains God in a way that people can understand better in one word?

Maybe we should do a poll to see which one people would vote on the most if you could only use one of 3. :)

Have a great weekend and God bless!

The post is sound doctrine. And it's a truth often forgotten, speaking of myself.

Yes. And after the Lord has disciplined, corrected, shaken up our world, I myself have thought: Wow! I had thought this and that, and doubted, and was angry. Fear. But He allowed for it all, and even though it had set me back from obtaining things of this world. Afterwards, in the end, He's showed, proved, by those set backs that He's all there is in the end. His ways. His blessings. Not I. Him.
