Many times when I see tongues being spoken by one or more and each utterance interpreted by the same person, I wonder if the spirit speaking giving the utterance of the tongue is of God or of Satan. A few years ago God lead me to this scripture.

1Jonn 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Suggestion. Speak your favorite scripture in a your favorite language. If it is interpreted correctly, or no one attempts to interpret it, the Holy Spirit is the one interpreting the spoken tongues. If it is interpreted incorrectly, flee the tongues venue.

Don't take me wrong. I believe that Holy Spirit still uses tongues. I also know that Satan is just as adept at using them. I caution all to beware of Satanic utterances masked as tongues in your gatherings.
I can tell you that the false prophets speak in a language well known because they have a greater advance in the deception

in my experience when one has been corrected they have not previously been corrected so they were ignorant or unlearned. They most of the time were very open to the Biblical correction . some felt if they did not, (not speak in tongues) it was quenching the Holy Spirit. We show them in scripture the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are not of the spirit of out of control or without self control.

those who have been shown and do it again are spoken to by the Pastor and elders if they do not agree they are told you can no longer exercise what you think is " gifts of the Holy Spirit" . Now the context of "false spirit " maybe over kill , because remember some are unlearned or taught error . The Holy Spirit is very long suffering with us in all areas this is why Pastors have to be called and hearing from the Word of God. Those who do not adhere to the pastor are in error .

I have preached in many churches where the pastor told me "You can not speak in tongues" I said ok sir you are the Pastor I submit to your authority and leadership as I come under your covering. Maturity goes along way and unity Jesus wants that and the Holy Spirit inspires that.
Has anyone ever challenged your spirit? If so how did you answer? If not how would the matter be settled?

1 Cor14.13 says-
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Therefore let one who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret.

What do you mean by, "Those who do not adhere to the pastor are in error"?

Well, anyway...what I said was that the gift doesn't necessarily mean there is an office. That's the call of God on one specifically.

The body however, should seek to prophesy..

Can't do a thing without the anointing of the King...lol I like the signature of CS1 but changed it just a bit to make it mine.
Well, didn't Paul come after this? And didn't he set up the order of the services?
Is services and offices the same thing?

who is it who gets to set this up?
Paul?
or THE KING?

because one really can't do anything apart from THE KING

Paul may have said HE gave sone to be this and some to be that

But I believe he was very clear as to who it is that does this
And it wasn't Paul

I'm not sure what you mean my spirit ? you mean has anyone ever corrected me ? yes of course . has anyone ever told me to stop after I have spoken no I have never had that happen. the end result is what has or does speak for the gift being used. example

the gifts of the Holy Spirt have to edify, comfort and build up and Line with the word of God.

Preaching has to produce salvation, edification, instruction, and comfort .

if they are not doing that then they are just human action right?

I am assuming you believe you have some god
given physical supernatural ability such as tongues or healing. This is what I mean be your spirit.
If you do has anyone ever challenged you to show evidence of past or present supernatural events. I would like to know, I have met some who claim these gifts but never produce any evidence even after years of maintaining these assertions. Is it proper to challenge these claims?

And the hammer of disbelief finally drops....you are about as predictable as summer rain in the Rockies.
Does the question rub you the wrong way? Does it apply to you? Is it not a fair question?

Can those who claim physical supernatural gifts of the Holy Spirit be challenged?

Jesus himself could heal you of cancer and you would look at him and say:

YEAH BUT......

I most certainly believe in the supernatural. But it is tacit mockery of the Holy Spirit to accept any claim as from the Lord. Surely you agree with this?

Of course Jesus could heal me but we are not talking about Jesus.

Jesus did heal people but these people don't.

I don't think so
you know
immediately and instantly

its like the woman with the blood flow who had been that way for many years

when HE heals you

You just know

there won't be any questioning it

and in fact, it is what you will keep ever before you

just as 1 John 2 says

If HE initially healed the man/woman.... what else would one be looking to or looking for?

be careful of what you began in
if whet you began in remains in you, you too will remain in both the father and the son

and this is what he promised us
even eternal life

the question is, what did we begin in?

and they can't get over it
its what they keep ever and always before them
