When Jesus says that Israel will see him no more until they say "blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord": do we know what that means specifically? How do you think Israel will come to see Jesus again?

-Israel will become more Christian
-Israel will not become Christian, but they will be more zealous for Judaism, build a temple and seek their messiah again
-Israel will not become zealous, but will seek their messiah
-None of the above; other
-None of the above; and they will never see Jesus, because reasons.

When Jesus returns at the end of the tribulation 1/3 of the jews ( Zech 13:8 ) who remain alive will all be part of the kingdom of God for 1000 years. All will know him and no such word as christian will be needed in the reign of the Lord. Temple will not be built with human hands

Maybe the context helps

“Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:

That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.

For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23:34-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jesus continues teaching in the next chapter about the desolation of Jerusalem’s temple and this leads to his death and resurrection and ascention to heaven

so wouldn’t he be referring to his return ?

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.”
‭‭Revelation‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

we know at some point when he returns everyone will bow and confess that Jesus Christ is lord

I think our Lord meant people wouldn't see him unless they believed the gospel.

The context of this quote is over 2000 years ago, yet you seemingly infer from the text that the fulfillment is yet in the future for us now, as if it was written yesterday.

Replying to myself (as it was too late to edit): I wish I'd have said: I agree, to an extent (he was speaking in context to those at the time). I don't necessarily believe this quote has any application in practice to people today.

Couldn't it apply to modern day Jews? Or Israeli nationals? Or Israel as a nation?

I think you're right based on Psalm 118. That had to have been what he was talking about.

Well, no one will see the Lord Jesus until they accept Him. But as far as "Israel" specifically? The righteous remnant of Israel has already been saved. We live in a time where salvation is available to all mankind. It is a freewill decision to choose the mercy of God.

Believers would have to see our Lord, because he dwells in believers,

we will come unto him, and make ourabode with him. Jn.14:23

How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth! Isa.52:7

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.

No what He meant was that after His Second Coming Jews would LITERALLY SEE HIM,
mourn, repent, believe on Him, be converted, and then say "Blessed is He that cometh in the name of the Lord". As already noted above, 1/3rd of all Jewry worldwide will believe on Him and be saved at that time. Since all 12 tribes will be represented, Paul says "And so all Israel shall be saved".

I believe we will see an influx of Arabs into the kingdom, perhaps from the Palestinians. Those who are not a nation will be received into the kingdom of the Son and, thus, become part of the nation of God. This will rouse the Jews to jealousy: the children of Ishmael coming into the kingdom of the Living God before the children of Isaac. These Arabs, having abandoned Islam to become the temple not built with hands, will have no use for their old high places and will give them up willingly.
