What can anyone tell me about the book of Jasher? The book of Jasher is mentioned in the Old testament 3 times I think. Was this book a prophesy of a book that was not yet written or was it lost along the way. I found it online, some say that it was re-written and is not authentic now. Could it be that it was a prophesy that the book would be written. It seems that Jasher is the first few books of the Old Testament with more detail. I think it was just simplified down to Genesis, Exodus, and Leviticus from the bigger text. Input?
Only in my opinion, it looks like a compacted shorter version of the old testament books up to Joshua. Maybe someone was trying to write a shorter Bible canon. Removing alot of what alot of people see, as unnecessary information. Like extra geneaoligies etc. Just opinion of what little I have seen.

Rest assure that we have all scripture. Jesus said not to take away from it nor add anything to it. Jesus quoted from every Old Testament book except Song of Solomon- which was found among the other books. God made sure we had what He wanted us to.
huh interesting, except from the book song if Solomon, I would look more into this, if possibly it may have actually happened.

Matt 12-22-42 could be of interest.

I didn't know much about the book Jasher. Lost in the argument on whether fallen angels can father through human women is whether the giants are giant righteous or giant evil. If giant evil then that was the reason for the Flood because Noah was perfect in his generations (his genes) and God's command to purge the promised land because of the Rephaim? The book of Wisdom (Catholic Bible) is written by Solomon. I don't think Sirach in the Catholic Bible is inspired because the phrase "two or three" is used twice but doesn't have anything to say about Jesus like Joshua 7 (His age at death is given?), Amos 4 (2 or 3 can't find water that satisfies, KJV), Hosea 6, Matthew 18. Tobit purges a demon with a liver of fish burnt with incense which doesn't make sense. Judith is an interesting book. First and Second Maccabees is history.

The book of Jasher is probably lost for good, there are also other missing books. A missing gospel that will be found at end times, that will shed more light on Jesus.

Delivered by an angel.
Well, I hope its not lost for good...There is a copy in my library. Right next to me.

any scripture that gives more details on Gen 6 and fallen angels seems to always get tossed out. for some reason the church never wants people to know about this.
Dumbing down the hoi polloi ain't nothin' new.
