Then I[a] stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name. 2 Now the beast which I saw was like a leopard, his feet were like the feet of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority. 3 And I saw one of his heads as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed the beast. 4 So they worshiped the dragon who gave authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”

5 And he was given a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies, and he was given authority to continue[c] for forty-two months.

Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

41 months (41*30 years) after Nimrod Solomon took the throne

a quick Google search yields:

Revelation 666: What Is It?

The number 666 appears in one other place in the Bible. King Solomon was considered one of the greatest kings of Israel, but actually his ignoring of and disobedience to God’s commandments laid the foundation for Israel’s ruin.

In Deuteronomy 17 God predicted that the people of God would say, “I will set a king over me like all the nations that are around me” (v. 14). This was not God’s will, but recognizing that it would happen, he gave just three commandments for the king, all of which Solomon broke. “He shall not multiply horses for himself, nor cause the people to return to Egypt to multiply horses… neither shall he multiply wives for himself, lest his heart turn away; nor shall he greatly multiply silver and gold for himself” (vs. 16, 17).

Ignoring these commandments, “Solomon gathered chariots and horseman; he had one thousand four hundred chariots and twelve thousand horsemen… Solomon had horses imported from Egypt” (1 Kings10:26,28). “King Solomon loved many foreign women… from the nations of whom the Lord had said, ‘You shall not intermarry with them… He had seven hundred wives… For it was so, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned his heart after other gods” (1 Kings 11:1-4).

But perhaps even more than his infatuation with horses and women was his love of gold. “The weight of gold that came to Solomon yearly was six hundred and sixty six talents (23 metric tons!) of gold” (1 Kings 10:14). No doubt there was some yearly variation, but the Bible writer used the specific number 666 as a measure of Solomon’s vast accumulation of gold.

However, unlike the gold that his father David had gathered to prepare for the building of the temple of the Lord, Solomon used his gold to build up his own defense and glory—to make shields, a fabulous throne, to make drinking vessels, to buy horses and chariots [2]. “So, King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom.

Thx for "clearing" this up for me? Still have to go with the question mark response brother, sorry. My ideas on 666 are plastered around on forums. Everyone has their take, can't say I've heard this one before though?

At-a-glance/The Bible - Religion-wiki

let he who has wisdom count the number of the beast

Now when the thousand years have expired, Satan will be released from his prison 8 and will go out to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle, whose number is as the sand of the sea

Yes this is after the rapture as ten nations will rule the world under the dragon. Then Christ will return and destroy his army and we will come back with Him and rule and reign. There will be people who live through this and have children that have never been tempted by satan. This would be unfair and God is a righteouse God that no man can point the finger. So satan will be released from the bottomless pit to deceive the nations again and will raise an army even though Jesus is on the throne in Jerusalem against Him. This is not Armageddon it has already happened when Jesus comes back to rule and reign. This is after the fact and God will destroy them and the new Jerusalem will descend from heaven to Earth as God the father moves His headquarters from heaven to Earth. Read it again and study

Yes, but you will find that Hams sons became Canaan oh and by the way the Fallen angels slept with women after the flood and produced Goliath.

I don't think that was necessarily the case. The line of Seth was righteous, the bloodline of Cain rebellious but both were sinful groups. And who's to say that people from each group didn't intermarry? It's very likely. Noah and his family were probably from the line of Seth but perhaps the wives of Noah's sons were from the line of Cain, even one of them (but made righteous). It's speculation, but it's possible.

Yes Tin Cains children were destroyed in the flood and only Noah's seed survived.
I see what you mean. See my amended post above for more. The majority of Cain's children would've been destroyed in the Flood (possibly all of them) and yes, only Noah and his family and his son's wives survived. It's quite possible only the line of Seth remained but Noah's seed wasn't the only one to survive. His sons had their wives and the Genesis account doesn't mention Noah and his wife having any more children of their own post-Flood.

From this story there is a lot of ifs and buts... and difficult to confirm if one of them married somebody with Cain's seed in them. The only argument is that the Bible tells us that Noah and his family were righteous in the eyes of God. Then again was all Cain's seed bad? I don't know

The Bible is not clear on this but there is definitely merit to what you are saying.

Also the word nephilim was used to describe the people of Canaan (Numbers 13) and the giants in Genesis 6.

Yes, the spies likened the Cannanites to Nephilim. This is only logical because they would be familiar with the Nephilim from ancient past. But they were scared, they didn't trust God. They tried to walk in their own strength. It's pretty obvious from reading the passage that the Cannanites were a strong, warrior-like people, possibly even physically giants but all Nephilim likely died with the Flood. Goliath wasn't Nephilim, nor was Gog, but they were likened to Nephilim for their giant warrior physiques. They were likely human but they weren't God's people, hence they were seen as 'fallen'. Same goes for the people of Cannan.

4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

I think the point we have to consider is that everybody was killed in the flood... but once again a valid point.

When you look at Sodom and Gomorra the men tried to get hold of the angels to have sex with them so it is clear that there was knowledge of these deeds...

It's where Goliath came from and the sons of Anak.
