Unless the Christian understands how the Law of the Spirit of Life IN Christ Jesus works in their life for progressive sanctification, that Christian is a defeated Christian living under the curse (the realm of death - the Law of Sin and Death). Romans 8:2

Two kinds of peace

1. Justifying Peace - This is Peace with God, a legal standing. Rom. 8:7; Eph. 2:14-15

2. Sanctifying Peace - This is the Peace of God in the heart. Rom. 8:6; 14:19; 15:13; Gal. 1:3

The first is the result of a legal standing. The second is the result of the Work of the Holy Spirit. The first is static, never fluctuates, the second changes almost from hour to hour. The first, every Christian has, the second, every Christian may have.

Why not ?
As a former atheist I knew what empty was . As a believer I know what it is to be His . Nothing can be better . If that can't make a person happy for the rest of their life, I don't know what can .

Not buying it. How can a Christian be defeated when Jesus took our price to the cross? There is but one justification -- Christ. And there is only one who sanctifies -- again, the Lord.

Thank you, jackson, for that share. As you know, most of the folks here are from the west, and first world countries, although we do learn and enjoy fellowship with them. But i miss ppl with some same background (i mean the rice and coconut fields, and more=)... and realize we do have much more in common in fact, we all love Christ... but we come from very different 'settings.' I am not sure if u do appreciate this too, but one day recently, i managed to have fresh young coconut for breakfast, and not that coconut is rare, but getting fresh from the stalls or vendors needs a special trip we cannot always have in the morning. Those little things make me happy, much more than a boxed (tetra-pack) juice without the soft white flesh to enjoy as well. The variety of fish around our islands too!

Never mind we dont use aircon, there are days we just have wind, and plenty of wind. Just happens to be not in my kitchen=).
Brother Mar09, my family was a coconut farmer. After I move to the city, I miss young coconut and when an old coconut fruit start to germinate there is kind of ball inside, I do not know what is in English, but it tasty.

I can tell the different between fresh from the tree and after a week.

But we will eat super fresh coconut in heaven, brother.

bingo.

If you are a mature saint, you must learn to encourage yourself in the Lord.

There is a well of Joy.Extravagant happy joy in the Holy Spirit.

Much much joy in his presence.

My bible says "many are the afflictions of the righteous, but God is able to deliver him out of the all"

Are you a righteous believer? born again?

You are promised affliction. BUT YOU ARE PROMISED DELIVERANCE.

BREAK THOSE CHAINS!!!!! REFUSE THAT BONDAGE OF DEPRESSION!!!!

Can a Christian have a happy life?
Many text in the bible say : we have Jesus peace, his Love, he has joy in prospering his children, He will give us the desire of our hearts, we have the fruits of the spirit, etc.

But on the other hand the bible says this: we shall be persecuted, there will be suffering, insults, calamities, hardships, affliction, we must pick up our Cross and follow Jesus.

I find life very difficult. I battle with depression. I always pray for God to make my live easy. Can a Christian life be easy? I don’t know...

I’m sorry to hear you are depressed..

We can be happy and I too found life depressing from a very young age.. only the Love of GOD pulled me out of the darkness..

Now If there be trials ahead.... I worry not.. GOD’s Grace is sufficient.. GOD got me this far and I trust He will get me to the finish.. remember we are weak He is Strong.. stop trying to be happy.. be still and know GOD loves you.. yes, you... there is nothing greater to come from life than the Love of GOD.. the Lord taught us:

Matthew 26

5 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Keep Believing my dear for I Testify that this gives relief to the weary mind..

May you find inner peace and content in the Grace of GOD through Faith in His Beloved Son.

What did Jesus mean when He said in Matthew 7:13-14 NKJV, "Enter in at the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many there be who go in there: Because narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leads unto life, and few there be that find it."

Did He mean only a few will be saved, or only a few find abundant life on earth? Why do few find it?

Walk trough the valley

setting my mind on Him and what He did and is doing each day. We are alive because He keeps us alive.

Do you guys know that if we believe we are alive because it's us doing all the maneuvering that He will allow us to walk in our own understanding? How we think totally effects the quality of life.
Awesome and terrible quote: He will allow us to walk in our own understanding. The way of escape is easy for an obedient soul, "My yoke is easy and My burden Light.
A woman said to the Lord: Lord I thought you said your yoke is easy? He replied: Mine is.
If I asked how we obtain this easy yoke? Hint: the verse ends with, "For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning You."
Favorite verse, not living up to it yet.
Favorite verse used to be: "They that wait on the Lord shall renew strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
Jesus told us, "Be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." As we abide in Him we overcome by the Influence of His Spirit. "For this is the will of God," tells us how this waiting on the Lord is done: Knowing He is with us in trouble.
"Count it all joy, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning You."
You will encounter a wall before you get there: where you cant go further.
A man asked the Lord, Lord how do we get past this? the Lord replied: To get past you have to surrender everything.
