Rom 8:26 In the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words; 27and He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Here are some scriptures that apply to God hearing our prayers:

Jer_11:11"Therefore, this is what the LORD says: I am about to bring on them disaster that they cannot escape. They will cry out to Me, but I will not hear them.

Jer_14:12If they fast, I will not hear their cry of despair. If they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. Rather, I will finish them off by sword, famine, and plague."

Dan_9:18Listen, my God, and hear. Open Your eyes and see our desolations and the city called by Your name. For we are not presenting our petitions before You based on our righteous acts, but based on Your abundant compassion.

2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

Psalm 34:16 The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

Psalm 66:18 If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:

Psalm 145:18 The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Psalm 145 :19 He will fulfill the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

Psalm 145:20 The LORD preserve all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy. (Not hear their prayers.)

John 9:31 Now we know that God hear not sinners: but if any man be a worshiper of God, and do his will, him he hear.

1 Pet 3:12 For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

Daniel 10-11-14 "11 And he said unto me, O Daniel, a man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak unto thee, and stand upright: for unto thee am I now sent. And when he had spoken this word unto me, I stood trembling.12 Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.14 Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days."
In the New Testament, CHRIST have already come and the New Covenant is already given without any block and we are the witnesses to all of them in teaching, that it is written and also the book of Revelation was not blocked to Apostle John, for he was the spirit man who was able to ascend with the angel into Heaven and receive them there, and have come down for all of us to witness.

In the Old Testament, Daniel's prayer was not blocked, but has reached GOD who art in Heaven. But the angel who came down with the answer was blocked for a moment by another. But then, was soon rescued and the answer did finally come by the same angel and was complete and it is written for our witnessing.

Even for those "Christians" who say the Old Testament is done away with, scripture does not agree with this.

1 Peter 3:7 Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.

Thank you, beloved LEPIDUS, for the point on quotation of the Holy Scripture for husbands. Let us refer the dictionary for the meaning of this word, 'Hindered'?

Hinder
1. (transitive) To make difficult to accomplish; to frustrate, act as obstacle,

"A drought hinders the growth of plants."

2. (transitive) To keep back; to delay or impede; to prevent.

3. (transitive) To cause harm.

The original question was "can our prayers be blocked?" What the Bible tells and shows us:

1. Our prayers can't be blocked from God's hearing.

2. The answers to our prayers can be blocked from our receiving. Just two of these things are personal sin and resistance in the heavens (spiritual warfare: Daniel 10).

The Bible says and shows that prayers can't be blocked going up but that answers can be blocked coming down. I can give passages for anyone who is interested.

God hears every prayer, but God doesn't answer every prayer. Furthermore, when God does answer, sometimes the answers can be held up. Would you like some passages to back this, or are you just, like so many, trying to maintain whatever it is that you believe.

That's a weird thing to say. I'll make a note to return with some passages tomorrow. The Bible lists many reasons that prayers are unanswered. Some it says outright (husband and wife disunity, cherishing sin, unforgiveness, etc.); others it says by implication (e.g. we have an enemy who resists us and therefore answers to our prayers). I'll get back to this later. Take care.

You are correct in these statements however, but you need to understand what these things you mentioned really means.

You cannot call yourself a sinner, then separate yourself from other sinners condemning them for theirs. We cannot do these things. This is how you begin to understand what it means when the bible says "lying wonders".

Everyone on the surface wants world hunger and homelessness to end, but it won't because God don't hear sinners.

Now when we truly repent, meaning that we all collectively realize that we're on the same boat, and need saving period. Then what day someone goes to church on, what type of meat they eat or if they're gay or not won't matter. We will be too busy making sure everyone has a house to live in and food to eat and clothes to wear. And we will love it and God will finally hear and wipe away all tears!

PSALM 65:2.
O Thou that hearest prayer, unto You shall all flesh come.

1PETER 4:7.
But the end of all things is at hand:
be you therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

JAMES 5:16.
....The effectual fervent prayer of a righteousness man
avails much.

if we expect our prayers to be answered,
there are definitely conditions.

7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.9 Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?10 Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!

is there a condition, for answered prayer. if (we/us/churches/sects etc) are asking for the wrong things, will the answer, always be, answered with no.
give what is good to those who ask. states there has to be good intent, toward a person/ persons /church/ sects etc.
with the former part of the quote, talking to you, to seek, what the will of god is, for everyone, etc.

Well, what you said is true overall. But the topic was whether prayers can be blocked. Prayers going up can't be blocked; but the answers to prayers coming down can be. It may be important for people to find out the many kinds of things that can block answers to prayer, because many people don't get answers and then give up and say, "God is saying wait" or they pray for a loved one and lose them and think, "God said no." But there is another facet to answered prayer at work, and it's basically called 'hindrance'. There are many types of hindrances, and I think it's important to know at least the basic ones (the ones that have to do with more than a person's sin or fault).

Is the son asking only for a fish or for many desired fishy things of the world, being in the flesh?

Which one will GOD answer to, needs or wants of the flesh?

HE would might answer both and from then on, HE watches the believer's work and their faithfulness to HIS Word(CHRIST) of the New Covenant, using HIS providence.

"Sow onto the flesh, and one reap eternal death, or sow onto the SPIRIT, and one reap Eternal Life."

I do not think are prayers are blocked. There is spiritual warfare like you posted in daniel but I do think sometimes answers to our prayers can be delayed and even take more time due to various things going on in our physical world and things going on in the spiritual world.
