No, I meant I join you in wanting an explanation for Charles Stanley not believing in the Holy Spirit, elf3.

As to the divorce, let's not be misinformed or disingenuous: Charles Stanley's wife divorced him, which a man can do nothing about, I don't care what the reasons for not getting what she wanted, if they are even true (who admits their own blame in these situations, always the other's fault): she failed for better or worse. I didn't see Mr. Stanley running off to a lawyer. This is not his shame.
Oh ok lol. I was confusded

Hey! That would be a great way of confusing people, reply to a message three or four back in the chain. Maybe worth trying in the "Who Killed Goliath?" thread? LOL!

Actually if you read the article I posted they were in counselling for almost 7 years before the divorce! It seems like her reason was 40 years of total neglect while he built his business.. er...church. God needs to be first, then family, then ministry or career. And the son took the mom's side, although it seems father and son have uncomfortably reconciled, after calling him Absolom in his sermons.

lol,"me too",,I wondered at the beginning of the thread if I quoted dr.Charles Stanley from some of his early sermons who would recognize it,,,,"if your good works cant get you into heaven, then your bad works cant keep you out" it's odd how soon words men say are forgotten,,,
