When Abraham believed God (would somehow restore Isaac on account of the promise seed through Isaac)was moved to obedience to sacrifice his only son...Isaac.
Most of us would have come up with excuses like ''oh God couldn't have meant literally to sacrifice my son''.

child like faith. could you as an adult have the same faith you once did as a child? a child loses a tooth and puts in under a pillow knowing that the tooth fairy will show up and replace it with a gift. could you as an adult do that same thing now and expect it to still work?

many are called, but few are chosen. why are few chosen? is it because they do not have the faith of a child? are those that are called unable to answer with the faith that is required? would you believe that millions of people are called every year and because they do not believe, they choose not to answer the call with the faith of a child?

having the faith of a child is a total surrender to God regardless of what society would tell you otherwise. it is the only way to experience the truth taught in the bible.

In your personal opinion how would you describe childlike faith?? What does childlike faith look like to you??
Childlike faith is simply trusting your Father in Heaven and your Saviour, Jesus Christ, as a child trusts his parents. It is simply believing His word that it is true and God means what He says. A child has no worries, never worries where tomorrow's food will come from, always takes his problems to the parents and trusts they will solve them. A child will be on the edge of a swimming pool, and the parent will tell them to "jump, I'll catch you"..... and the child simply believes and trusts the word of the parent, and he jumps, never doubting. The parent catches the child as promised, and the child's faith is reassured to continue to trust the parent for the future. "Oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer"......oh that we would have more childlike faith, and tell Satan to go away with our doubts and fears and unbelief.
