I'm just curious, why is it that christianity spread out everywhere else in the world but is not the predominant religion in israel itself where Jesus lived, taught etc? Judaism isn't the same as christianity?

If I've asked the wrong question, or my assumption is wrong, apologies and please correct me.

If you read the bible, you will see that God hardened Israel so they would reject Jesus as their Messiah until the time of the gentiles comes to an end (Romans 11, Daniel 7 and 10-12). So they are currently in unbelief until the millenial return of Christ and the prophecies are fulfilled, I find that not all of Israel is hardened and there some who are elected to believe while some persist in unbelief, as there are increasing numbers of messianic jews in around the world. I knew in my childhood a family whose daughter was my friend and the wife of the husband was a christian from israel. I really miss them.

Christianity in Israel is one of the recognized religions in Israel and is practiced by more than 161,000 Israeli citizens (about 2.1% of population). They include 127,000 Arab Christians (mostly Arab Orthodox as well as Melkite and Latin Catholics, with some Galilean Maronites, Copts and Protestants), about 25,000 Slavic Christians from the former Soviet Union (Eastern Orthodox) and a smaller minority of Assyrians.
About 80% of Christian residents of Israel are Arab Christians, who are historically bound with neighbouring Lebanese, Syrianand Palestinian Christians. A community of 1,000 Coptic Christians also exists in Israel, being registered as "Arab Christians", though their Arab identity is disputed. Christian Arabs are one of the most educated groups in Israel. Maariv has described the Christian Arabs sector as "the most successful in the education system",[SUP][1][/SUP] since Christian Arabs fared the best in terms of education in comparison to any other group receiving an education in Israel.[SUP][2] Christianity in Israel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/SUP]

I believe that God is using this for a special day. More people
are persecuted there and other countries for their beliefs.
But remember Gods promise to those who love him from Israel.
I don't know why but i feel like I was meant to answer this. I googled a question and this is the first thing that came up.
