As far as I'm concerned...the church is wherever the individual believer is. Or am I mistaken? I thought the veil was torn and the body is the new temple.
In all fairness, by Church I'm referring to the place where we congregate to worship on a regular basis.

If you were in a terrorist hostage-taking type situation and had a gun, would you use it to injure, maim, or fatally wound the terrorist if your life depended on doing so, or would you eschew the gun in favour of trusting God to see you and those with you, defenseless and counting on you, through to the end of the situation, even if it meant you would be surely dead at the end of it without the use of firepower? Is it a matter like the JWs have of simply refusing to participate in any way with violence of any sort? Even though the liberty we enjoy today is the result of people giving their lives in wars fought to secure such liberty...
my precious Megenta,,,,

in my heart, as to where I am in my walk at this point, the only option for me would be to
lay down my life for my brother or sister, there is just no other option, for to be with Christ
is my life.....
I am unable to ascertain from this answer whether or not you would use a gun were the opportunity presented to save your life and the lives of others who were depending on you.
Oh Father, give me the strength to be Your obedient daughter and to accept what may come my way,
by whatever means it may come.......................AMEN
If a gun came your way in a terrorist hostage taking situation, and it could save your life and the lives of others, would you use it against the terrorist perpetrators? Or by asking God for strength to accept what may come, do you mean you would stand idly by and watch the murder and mayhem and allow it to be visited upon you, your loved ones, and other defenseless people counting on you to act in their defense? Or by saying you would lay down your life, do you mean to say you would fight to preserve it while defending others against evil? You are being quite ambiguous.

we would defend our home and others by whatever means, including weapons....

we are commanded to provide for and take care of our own households and to defend the weak...

our Father surely knows what maladies do and will befall His children of Light and He will never
leave us indecisive concerning defending others and ourselves -
the example being the Maccabees, BUT, if He would have us suffer for Righteousness sake,
we shall gladly rejoice and take-up that Cross also.....

we don't own a revolver or rifle and don't intend on buying either, BUT, if our Father tells us
and leads us in that direction, then we will obey His will for us.....

discerning His Will and our will is KEY.....
