obey and belief are two different things, so keep babbling, when you work out the difference.
john 3.16 obey what. believe in who. pity reading is your down fall. 70 ad .
John 3: 16 means nothing to them. The whole chapter of John 3 is meaningless. Why God put it in there, I have no clue. He must have missed something..lol

No doubt and all the other scriptures that point straight to faith and said faith into Jesus equaling eternal salvation void of water, works FOR salvation....!

You are exactly right! The entire concept of baptismal regeneration is a lack of underatanding the difference between justification and sanctification. They are mixing faith with works and it will not be tolerated by God.
This is true as well....faith is a spiritual gift from God and the bible teaches that It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE.....quite simple at the end of the day and the truth also teaches to be not removed from the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus.......!

I am so glad I don't have to rely on myself to be justified before God.

Yeah no doubt...not a just man on the earth that does good, and sins not...anyone trying to justify self will be hard pressed to make the proverbial gates of heaven......as it is impossible to win justification apart from the saving faith of Jesus....!

[SUP]47 [/SUP]And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

[SUP]48 [/SUP]And ye are witnesses of these things.
[SUP]49 [/SUP]And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

you teach no repentance and no remission of sins....

[SUP]38 [/SUP]Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

[SUP]39 [/SUP]For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

Romans 3:9
What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;

God looks at Jew and Gentile as one there is no difference ...you are not repenting from the law but from your evil ways...

Romans 10:11-13King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]11 [/SUP]For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Luke 15:10
Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.

The Holy Spirit Falls on the Gentiles
44 While Peter was still saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell on all who heard the word.45 And the believers from among the circumcised who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out even on the Gentiles.
around 48 ad . try and keep up.
28 And he said to them, "You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a Jew to associate with or to visit anyone of another nation, but God has shown me that I should not call any person common or unclean.act 10

who told the gentile the full law of moses.
given this 48 ad. when jesus is back in heaven.

so where do you think those epistles came from?....they wrote letters and circulated them to all the churches....it is those letters that make up the NT....
2 Peter 3:15-17King James Version (KJV)
[SUP]15 [/SUP]And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
[SUP]16 [/SUP]As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

you teach no repentance and no remission of sins....

WOW did you guys know that both of these statements are in the same Bible?

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

(Romans 6:1-2)

repentance

So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth,
but of God that sheweth mercy.

(Romans 9:16)

remission of sins

does those verses nullify these or do they say the same?[SUP]46 [/SUP]And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

they are one and the same gospel, the same that teaches that it is faith, not works, that commend us to God, and that it is God who has chosen us, not us who have chosen God, and predestined us to adoption and preordained us to good works, not us who by doing good & obedient works earn the promise.

i was hoping it might help us see that it is false to assume that because someone asserts that it is God and God alone who is responsible for our salvation, and not our obedient reply to Him, that they "teach no repentance or remission of sins"

i want you to know that it is for the glory of the One who is the Author and Finisher of my faith that i say "Christ alone saves" and disagree that "ritual baptism saves."

it is also false to assume that i reject the commandment of God because i say H[SUB]2[/SUB]O baptism was made for man, not man for H[SUB]2[/SUB]O baptism, and that Christ is Lord of circumcision, the Sabbath, and also of immersion. what i am doing by saying this is asserting that Christ is the only one worthy of glory.

the saving act is intercessory.

there is a baptism that saves, and it is Christ's - not by the hand of John, nor with any human hand.
He went willingly into to this pool for us, and was raised up again by no human hand.

No doubt...if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus dwell in you.....Our birth is a SPIRITUAL birth and is according to faith.....
