5 Now, brothers and sisters, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, 2 for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “Peace and safety,” destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

So, my question to everyone is when does the peace and security end? and to who? and how is the timing of the Day of the Lord tied into the question?
I guess I will end this thread by saying the "people" are Hebrews who were given peace and security during the first half of the Tribulation and allowed to build their temple but everything starts to change when the antchrist takes his seat in the temple of God in the middle of the seven.

The Day After of the Lord is also mentioned in Joel, right before the verses on fasting. God was coming for them in a big way. And the way it reads in Joel is that if they didn’t fast, God was going to completely destroy them.

Great and terrible for the unbelievers and those deceived by the Antichrist.
Matthew 24:4-5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Great and glorious for those who overcome. View attachment 262213
Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
The ever growing number of false prophets on air, online, and in person are deceiving many, even the elect, as a watered-down gospel is preached, making sure the congregation is 'entertained' and not necessarily 'informed' of the TRUTH of the WORD.

When I was given the opportunity to teach Sunday School, the previous teacher was concerned more with 'pleasing the people' than teaching the Word. I gave them Spurgeon, Stanley, Jeremiah, Shepherd's Chapel, and other faith-based sermons and they were not happy. Also refused to talk politics, aka 'of the world', in accordance with James 1:27......

I finally resigned when an attendee took over the class one morning to proclaim her anger at God for medical difficulties. She made the lesson ALL ABOUT HER, took command of the class, and acted as if no one else in the room has ever been to the hospital. Lovely lady, and she is probably Christian, I am not one to judge, but she made sure that day's lessons was all about her.

Yes Selah. and this Day cannot happen till after the middle of the 7 (years) or 1260 days into the Tribulation.

2 Thess 2 Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet him, we beg you, brethren, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or excited, either by spirit or by word, or by letter purporting to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
The thread was looking good up to this point when you messed it all up.

The tribulation lasts 1260 days,not 7 years.

And Jesus himself said he will come after the tribulation .Not midway through it.

29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

There is no seven years of tribulation. The he day of the Lord is going to come before you expect it.

3.5 years.A time,times and a half.Not 7 years.

24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Just curious, how did the class take her lessons?

I wish you wouldn't resign. People need to learn the truth anyway.

She taught from her sitting position in the class, while I stood there at the podium. When I interjected about how Moses got mad at God for asking him to lead the Israelites out of captivity....He argued with God when he offered reasons why he should not be the one chosen to lead the people out of Egypt — the Israelites will not believe you sent me, Pharaoh will not listen to me, I am not eloquent (Exodus 3,10-4,17).

...and she glared at me, as I interrupted her speech. An actual GLARE, because me, not being of town 'royalty' status, had the nerve to interrupt her.

the senior pastor called me that week and said he would be combining the Sunday School classes, as members were uncomfortable with my teachings --- remember, the previous teacher lectured me on what "the class wanted".......same thing as when marketing firms survey neighborhoods to see what kind of church, what time services should start, how long should sermons last. etc.......

Not wanting to have an ego contest with said attendee, I left.

Note: This is in a small town, population < 50,000

She is a member of the town's elite, aka, super rich. Her father and my father were college buddies. I cannot cross her, for she is royalty, I am not. You follow??? small town politics.

I was delivering the Word and was rejected......a few people followed what I was doing, but I really irked them when I revealed who Joanna was --- and how women funded Jesus's ministry.

Joanna is identified as "the wife of Chuza", steward to Herod Antipas, when she is listed as one of the women "cured of evil spirits and infirmities" who accompanied Jesus and the Apostles, and "provided for Him from their substance" in Luke 8:2–3.

God had an insider in a pagan household, that of Herod Antipas.......and you know Joanna had dinner parties telling all of her freinds about this Jewish carpenter and his vagabond friends who healed her of infirmities that her husband's soothsayers could do nothing for.

Why were they irked about Joanna??? She sounded like a pretty cool person in the Bible and who was grateful and excited about Jesus??? Strange people...

I don't live in a small town, but I used to live in an area where nepotism was very prevalent so I understand what you mean to some extent.

Regardless of what they want, what does God want in regard to your service to Him? Because I remember that when God called Jeremiah to serve Him by prophesying to His people, Jeremiah wasn't able to convince anyone. But God still commended him because he served God faithfully. Ask God what you should do, whether you continue to teach or not. If not, to know where He wants you to serve Him. You sound like you have great teaching ability and that shouldn't go to waste.

Male ego.....the idea of a woman being responsible for the finances of Jesus and the apostles is revolting...damages the male ego.

I moved cross country.....God pulled me out, and is isolating me to sanctify me.......believers go through sanctification, as you know. HE is scrubbing the world out of me and my love for it.
