I have been attacked and oppressed by the devils servants and have been in spiritual attacks but none of them required house cleaning and none of it had anything with items having demons attached to them sometimes all it took was to close my eye and just simply chat with God as I always do other times it required me to speak the name Jesus even if my tongue is tied at first but I have heard of this deliverance teaching and from personal experience I can say that you only need to call out to Jesus and no demons are not attached items this isn't the exorcism this is real life
The world of evil spirits, demons, and Satan is real and is called the Kingdom of Darkness. However, Christians are not called to focus on this Kingdom but upon the Kingdom of God and upon the Lord Jesus Christ. Any ministry which focuses on demons is asking for trouble.
Christians cannot be possessed by evil spirits or demons because God dwells within the child of God. However God does allow Satan and his evil spirits to oppress, oppose, and sabotage Christians, just as He allowed Satan to destroy Job. This is meant to be a test of faith, but the Bible says "Resist the devil, AND HE WILL FLEE FROM YOU". so Christians can resist every evil spirit by (a) putting on the whole armor of God and (b)calling upon God Himself for deliverance.

Angela is right. While demons and demonic oppressions do exist, only JESUS can bring deliverance. Far too many churches are focused on theology... without THEO.
MariaJoy, these things might be scary and understandably you'd want to be prepared and avoid possibilities of demonic possession but hey, when you seek Jesus, you will find that the devil won't even dare touch you. Fear is what feeds the devil to, continually bother people with stuff Jesus already saved us from.
Seek Jesus and what He has done on the Cross for your deliverance. He has the answer to absolutely EVERYTHING. Not that I know everything but, at least, I know He has delivered me from all kinds of oppression I've faced.

The word Lord means Owner. If Jesus is indeed Lord of your life; you can not be demon possessed because Jesus won't share you. Christians can indeed be demon oppressed. A demon can devote himself to casting doubts and accusations.
To be certain that this is not happening; simply dismiss Satan and his demons in the name of Jesus and believe that believers have the authority to dismiss them Just as Jesus did when He was tempted.
