You know I was talking to God a few days about demons, I understand they are fallen angels they chose to follow satan for whatever reason as I know he would sacrifice any of them to save his own skin and i have encountered demons a few times they are vicious horrified and for some reason really wanted to tear me apart like I mean literally. I always ponder how God is willing to go to the extremes to save his children how there is no limits he isn't willing to go for just one lost soul no matter how dark their heart.
A thought came to my mind as I was considering this if say a demon truly repented and wanted to come home would God forgive them? I see nowhere in the bible of any mention of this and so it may not seem biblical and I am sure some would say they don't get a second chance and I certainly cant find any scripture to support my theory here but this is what I know about God we did the same thing the fallen angels did not following satan but we rebelled against him and yet he said we were his children and went to the extreme to save us he full of love compassion and grace and I know ppl see angels as his messengers his warriors ect. but I believe they are just as much his children as us and so if they are his children as well knowing him he would give any demon a clean slate should they truly repent.
and honestly if they can be saved I want them to be I know satan won't be saved because the scriptures clearly describe how his story ends but what do you all think?
Hello Blain,
There are a couple of good reasons as to what you are suggesting cannot and will not happen. First of all faith is in-birthed by God to those He foreknew and those He foreknew he predestined, and those he predestined He called, and those He called he justified, and those He justified He glorified. It is God who does the choosing, the One who calls and the One who gives each of us a measure of faith. That said, unless God gave a measure of faith to the fallen angels, they ain't comin'.
"For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment,
in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you."
"Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that
God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth,"
As you can see from the above, faith is given by God and repentance is Granted by Him as well.
"For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves;
it is the gift of God, not by works, so that no one can boast."
As for the fallen angels, their fate has already been written of in God's word and what has been written must be fulfilled, otherwise it would bring God's word in question.
"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire
prepared for the devil and his angels."
Another reason as to why fallen angels cannot be saved, is because the Lord left heaven and became a human being. He had to kin himself to us in the flesh in order to make atonement for all flesh, for scripture states that, for just as through the disobedience of the
one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the
one man the many will be made righteous. That being said, Christ's payment only covers those in the flesh and not those fallen angels who are spiritual beings. I might add that, since faith is the things hoped for but not yet seen for human beings, what hope would fallen angels need to have who were already in his presence and whose abode was already in heaven?
There are many more reasons as to why Satan and his angels cannot be saved, but I think that the above pretty much covers it. And the following must take place:
"And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur, into which the beast and the false prophet had already been thrown. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
