I dunno but im not going to the cross. I am going to Jesus who was taken down from that cross. I go to that man who gave his life there and did the works. The cross isnt what saves, Jesus is.
By what he has done and by his mercy we are saved. If there werent crucifictions, it would have happened another way.
Now...did Christ do enough? Yes, it is done

Hmm now that ur saying that..if a catholic priest beats u up with a crucifix..does that make u saved? :p

The kindness of God is A GIFT. God does not HAVE to be kind to you, in fact, his very character demands he must JUDGE YOU. so the fact he can be kind, is a gift. One can not repent APART from the gift of God.. Thus the fact WE CAN REPENT, is a GIFT.

The only one twisting is you.

See there you go, TWISTY,, Had to leave the part out BELIEF was a GIFT OF GOD..

Faith is still a gift of God, WHich proved the person you are trying to prove wrong RIGHT
Nooo..... Repentance is commanded by John the Baptist & Jesus. Paul also says so.

Acts 17:30
“Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, 31because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”

Instead of saying whatever to cover someone's butt, maybe you ought to try reading your Bible for a change.

Repent is commanded, Your right.

IT IS STILL A GIFT.

Your trying to make it a work of man, When it is a work of God. If God did not do the word. You would not have means to repent.

God's imperatives are His enablements but it is only through the life of Christ in us - which is all by grace in His finished work.

Yes....repent and believe the gospel of the grace of God that is in Christ.

Mark 1:14-15 (NASB)
[SUP]14 [/SUP]
Now after John had been taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God,

[SUP]15 [/SUP] and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

Repent and believe all that the Lord has already done for us in His finished work on the cross and resurrection.
Salvation is all by grace through faith in Christ's work alone. His life in us - in the new creation that is in Christ - joined as one spirit with Him for eternity will manifest in good works.

It'll be the fruit of His life bearing on us the branches. He is the Vine. Without Him we can do nothing.

Change the way you think ( repent ) and stop relying on what you do - instead start believing in what Christ has done by His grace alone. His access to this grace comes by faith in Him.

And yes this means concerning the way we think about sin too - which includes malice and the slandering of others in the body of Christ. These are in the same list as those that live the homosexual lifestyle...selah.

I believe in "hyper-repenting" as we see more facets of the beauty of the grace and love of God for us that is seen in Christ.

So, the cross doesn't make man savable?
No. The cross actually saves. To make one savable means they can have the possibilty of being saved. There is no possibility with God. He SHALL save His ppl from their sins.[Matthew 1:21]

But let's not derail this thread, okay? You wanna discuss this? Start a new thread, please.

When I write the words "Holy, other" I did mean some think God is too Holy, unapproachable,
different to us...The term "wholly other" means something different.
You're still unable to accept responsibility for your errant remarks and misnomer of a theological statement and just simply state you mispoke. You should simply admit to this instead of continuing to drone on in attempt to vindicate yourself. It's 'Wholly Other', know what you're talking about.

Obviously, you do not know what 'Wholly Other' entails, nor do you understand what 'exalt' means, this much has been demonstrated. But you should remain in error on these things, your entire foundation is faulty and based on a god who couldn't do enough to save his people, they must help him. Your statement is blasphemous; '"Did Christ do enough to save us? NO!'" It's all 'touch and go' in your false gospel which reflects a god who is 'Wholly Different' than the true 'Wholly Other' revealed in Scripture. 1 Timothy 6:16.
