I mean, he must not have, after all, he was never baptized, was he?
15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born.

John has already been Baptize with the Spirit of God before he was born. Jesus had came to tell the others how they must be cleansed, but when being Baptize by water is showing that you are dirty and showing the willingness that we want to be cleanse.

Heb 9:16,17 it was not possible for Christ's NT to take effect before Christ died, it had to take effect AFTER He died and John died before Christ. Therefore John was never under the NT law....."For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth."

The church did not begin until Pentecost Acts 2 which was some time AFTER John's death.
Well this view denies the inspiration of Matthew 18:17 so keep peddling your water/works for salvation and it will be hotter for you in the day of judgment as a false teacher than for the ones you lead astray!

This is where the circle of legalism comes back upon itself with no answer except to contradict itself.
No doubt and not to mention that the church is spoken of in the present tense no less than 2 to 3 times in Matthew......Jesus started the 1st church during his earthly ministry and to deny this is blasphemous and shows ignorance of scripture for sure...! Of course sea perch believes in water/works to gain and or keep salvation.....! Extremely Hot for him one day soon and no water to be found for sure as a gospel of a different kind leads to the proverbial gates of hell according to Paul and the book of Galatians!

Jesus said that among men, there was none greater than John the Baptist, but those who are least in the kingdom of heaven are greater than him.

That being said, John the Baptist as a man is dead and what was once called "John" has risen with Christ.
Yeah that word least is latter in the Greek and points to Christ as Jesus was three months 5-6 months younger than John and obviously Jesus is greater than John.....!

Mt 18:17 is a figure of speech called a prolepsis. Jesus used "kingdom" and "church" interchangeably. Jesus'ministry on earth was to prepare men for that coming kingdom/church that was "at hand", Mk 1:14,15. In Mt 18:17 Jesus spoke by anticipation of that coming church as if it already occurred. Mt 18:1-3 the disciples were not in the kingdom/church yet as of Mt 18.

John the Baptist was not saved the whole time he was on earth and that is because he died before Christ sacrificed His body to take away our sins.

Jesus said that there was none greater born of women than John the Baptist and that is because he had the Spirit from the womb because God was using him to prepare the way for Jesus, but the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than him, which means at the state that John was on earth which he was not saved at that time.

John the Baptist did not go to heaven when he died, and not even Elijah and Enoch when they were taken up went to heaven for Jesus said when He was on earth that no person ascended to heaven yet,and the man Christ Jesus was the first one to ascend to heaven, for nobody was right before God spiritually to ascend to heaven, and the man Christ Jesus had to be the first and open up the kingdom of heaven to people.

I do believe that John the Baptist's soul is in heaven after Christ shed His blood as well as all people who died in the Lord.

Keep believing that as it is just another nail in your coffin of rejected words, phrases and scripture in context.......and one of the many heretical dogmas that you stand on.......!

u don't have to be baptize to enter heaven...If you believe in your heart and repent of your sins and follow His ways and lean on him you will go to heaven. John believed and Love Jesus. The true thing is that it's all about committing to Jesus and to follow Him. Jesus was baptized and that we can still be baptize if we want to but we don't have to. Cause Jesus all ready had wiped away our sins for us. Yes I was baptized about 9 years ago and I did it to show my commitment to God. And that I will all ways be his and that he is mine. :)

John the Baptist died and went to Abrahams bosom. Abrahams bosom was taken by Christ to heaven after His resurrection.

OT saved by faith that God would send Messiah. NT saved by faith in the Messiah God sent. It is grace that saves in both the OT and the NT.

I will keep believing what the bible says.

Jn 11:1,2 John writes about Lazarus and his sisters Mary and Martha. Verse 2 John says "(It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.)" But it was not until Jn 12:3 that Mary anointed Jesus feet with oil. So in Jn 11:2 John was using a prolepsis where he spoke of an event in anticipation of the occurance of the event BEFORE the event happened just as Jesus spoke of the church anticipating the coming event of the church.

In those times it was customary to consecrate (Immersion, Baptize) themselves daily in a pool or a river, but none of them at the time had done it for the remission of their sins since they'd never thought that they were sinners because they were too arrogant. But knowing John whom admitted that he was guilty of this offense and knowing that everyone else is also, he believed that everyone should be Baptized.

We tend to forget that God sent John the Baptist (prophet) to baptize His Son and paved the way for the ministry of Jesus.

If we read how John the Baptist was born to Elizabeth & Zechariah, we can see how & why Elizabeth was allowed to give birth way past her childbearing years. It was a special birth commissioned by God.

Yes, John the Baptist is in heaven. BTW, John the Baptist & Jesus are related - cousins.

Baptism is for the remission of sins, how is one saved if their sins have not been forgiven?
