no, it's not the same.
the "but" was planted there, to create the idea of contrast.
people who love this world don't love the idea of rules.

"Rules"??? I'd rather have relationship. I don't desire the world, nothing it offers comes even close to relationship with Jesus.

That developes fruit and against such there are no "rules"

Amen because of his great mercy we can receive his grace according to his perfect law.

It performs that which is appointed to us just as he informs us. Like David said in another psalm ; If God would take into account one transgression suffered against Him who could stand in judgment . Because he does give us His grace we do fear aright so that we can stand in His presence. .

The man without it doing its work in us perishes without it. It does not only inform us it reforms us into new creatures .

Beautiful Psalm below that speaks of all of the work of the faith of Christ as it works in our heart,to both will and do His good pleasuse.

The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORDis sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORDare true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward. "Who can understand his errors"? cleanse thou me from secret faults. Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me: then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer. Psa 19:7-14

Jos 24:15
"And if it seems evil in your eyes to serve יהוה, choose for yourselves this day whom you are going to serve, whether the mighty ones which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the mighty ones of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But I and my house, we serve יהוה."

We live by laws now in the New Covenant.

1) the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.

2) the law of love

3) the law of faith ( the Law is NOT of faith )

4) the law of liberty in Christ Jesus

5) the law of Christ Himself living in us. We are led now by the Holy Spirit within us because we are children of God now in the New Covenant.

All these "laws" will stop me from wanting to have sex with animals so I don't need to live by the law in Lev 18:23.

The Law came through Moses , grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. Accept no substitutes. Jesus is more then enough for us We live now by His life in and through us.

Remember we were not told that in the last days people would be "anti-God" but that they would be "anti-Christ"...selah

seems like I have seen you copy/paste that a few times.
remember, Messiah made all the commandments.
Yep, that is right. I hate to tell you this, but it is the same God in both Testaments.
Hear O Israel, YHVH our God is one!

Contrast of what .His mercy against his wrath. mercy than theretofore grace triumphs over judgement .Its called grace.

So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.
Jam 2:13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.Jam 2:12

Which law do you chose? The law of liberty because of His grace according to his thee day labor of love or the law that kills because it has no mercy? Can't serve two master .which one? No buts. Liberty or death?

Hear O Israel, YHVH our God is one!

The reason why I post that is because it's an alert for those that are "anti-Christ" but are for God....there is a vast difference.

He is the same God but your perception of Him should have changed as you learned about Jesus Christ.

Jesus is the exact representation of the nature of God. The writer of Hebrews states that in times past God spoke in many ways but now speaks to us through His Son. Hear Him!

Notice the word "after" in the text. This is vital.

Hebrews 1:1-3 (NASB)
[SUP]1 [/SUP]
God,after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,

[SUP]2 [/SUP] in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world.

[SUP]3 [/SUP] And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

The time of the refomation has come. The shadows have disappeared. No man can keep the whole law perfectly without stumbling in the least. The wage of one sin remains the same. Eternal separation from the Creator, never to rise to new spirit life forever more.

A relationship without rules sounds like the Judaism has not changed today according to their rules of the fathers.

Jam 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

A person has to repent before their sins are forgiven.
Lk 24: 47. Acts 2: 38. 1 Jn 1: 9.

We gave to present the whole Bible.
Name one person who fell on bended knee and cried out for mercy who never repented.

We do. We love the Lord our God with all our heart mind and soul and our neighbor as ourselves. It's that simple.

precious Brother garee,

of course our Saviour always knew that we simple minded humans would never be able to
completely obey Him in all of His ways, else why would He die such an horrible death for us
and is, now, at this very moment sitting on the right hand of His Holy Father to intercede for us
when we fail Him in our weakness and hopefully unknowing lack of love and faith???

And Jesus is the fulfillment of the law which was a mere shadow of the real thing. You keep ignoring Christ...stop rejecting Him. Read the Old Covenant to see Jesus in the Law - it is not a set of rules for the new creation in Christ to follow.

We have new "laws" now..like love, the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus ..the law of faith ( the law is NOT of faith ), the law of liberty, the law of Christ Himself living in us. You are rejecting Christ Himself with your going back to the law for living.

This is committing spiritual adultery on the Lord Jesus Christ. We have died to the law so that we could be joined to another - the Lord Jesus. Romans 7:1-6

James 2:19-20 (KJV, MBM)
Yes the faith of God is not without works. He faithfully fulfilled the promise to pour out (the work) His Spirit life on all flesh to include the flesh of a Jew. In that way he shows us he is no respecter of persons.

If he did not work according to his faith there would be no new creation. Remember it is the work of God that we can believe (have faith in him.) without his faith working to both will and do his good pleasure there would be no new spirit life.
