Vine's Expository Dictionary of NT Words

Dispensation - Greek = oikonomia, Noun Feminine, Strong's #3622)
primarily signifies "the management of a household or of household affairs" (oikos, "a house," nomos, "a law"); then the management or administration of the property of others, and so "a stewardship.

In the Epistles of Paul, who applies it:

(a) to the responsibility entrusted to him of preaching the Gospel, 1 Corinthians 9:17 (RV, "stewardship," AV, "dispensation");

(b) to the stewardship commited to him "to fulfill the Word of God," the fulfillment being the unfolding of the completion of the Divinely arranged and imparted cycle of truths which are consummated in the truth relating to the Church as the Body of Christ, Col 1:25 (RV and AV, "dispensation"); so in Ephesians 3:2, of the grace of God given him as a stewardship ("dispensation") in regard to the same "mystery;"

(c) in Ephesians 1:10 ; 3:9 , it is used of the arrangement or administration by God, by which in "the fullness of the times" (or seasons) God will sum up all things in the heavens and on earth in Christ.
(NOTE: A "dispensation" is a mode of dealing, an arrangement, or administration of affairs)

Using the 3 verses from Vines definition of Dispensation above:
1Cor 9:17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
(NOTE: Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit says: That a stewardship/despenation of the gospel was given to "me/HIM not us)

Col 1:25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
(NOTE: Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit says: That a stewardship/despenation of the gospel was given to "me/HIM not us)

Eph 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
(NOTE: Paul under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit says: That a stewardship/despenation of the gospel was given to "me/HIM not us)

The RISEN Christ, says to Paul:

Acts 26:16 I have appeared to u to make u a "minister" & "witness" of these things which u have seen, & of things that I will show u

17 I Delivered u from the Jews, & the "Gentiles, to whom now I send thee"
(NOTE: The RISEN Christ sends Paul to the Gentiles)

Paul tells the Gal Church:

Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
(NOTE: Paul wrote via the Holy Spirit: That he received by direct Revelation from the RISEN Christ the gospel he preaches)

Eph 3:2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:
(NOTE: Paul wrote via the Holy Spirit, The stewardship/despenation of the grace of God was given to him, to give to us) us)
3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery;
(NOTE: The RISEN Christ himself gives Paul, the mystery)

(NOTE: KJV Dictionary Definition: mystery - MYS'TERY, a secret. (1) A profound secret; something wholly unknown or something kept cautiously concealed,

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:
(NOTE: The mystery/secret is that gentiles thru Faith would be fellowheirs in eternal salvation)

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
(NOTE: The mystery/secret that the door of salvation would be opened to gentiles. VOID of Mosiac Laws & Temple sacrifices.
Is given by the RISEN Christ to Paul & Paul only)

Although salvation can be found in the Gospel of the Kingdom. It was all Jewish & tied to Mosaic laws, the Priesthood & Temple sacrifices. A gentile could convert: He must be circumcised, adhere to Mosaic laws, under-go a full Mikva & bring a sacrifice to the Temple. Unless you meet these requirements your repent & be baptized doctrine is completly WORTHLESS!

If you removed Paul's 13 Epistles from Romans to Philemon from your Bible. The only place the gospel of grace is found. You will find NO hope of gentile salvation.

Pauls gospel of grace:

1 Cor 15:1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
(NOTE: Paul declares the gospel given to him by direct Revelation from the RISEN Christ)

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
(NOTE: The Gospel you are SAVED by is:)

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
(NOTE: That Christ DIED for your SINS)

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
(NOTE: The Christ was BURIED & ROSE on the 3rd day)

Repent & be baptised? NO!

That Christ DIED for your SINS was BURIED & ROSE on the 3rd day!

Rom 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
(NOTE: Confess Christ as Lord & believe God RAISED him from the dead)

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

There is only one gospel in this dispensation and in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, Paul clearly states: 1 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you--unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures..

In Ephesians 3:1-9, Paul clearly states: Ephesians 3:1 - For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles— 2 if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, 3 how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, 4 by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), 5 which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets: 6 that the Gentiles should be fellow heirs, of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ through the gospel, 7 of which I became a minister according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the effective working of His power. 8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, 9 and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ.

Even today, we are under the Ministry of Paul where he gives us the Commandments of Jesus......Not Moses' Law commandment but those of Jesus given directly to Paul.
