Jesus certainly is in control of all things and has the final authority over any outcomes...but He certainly gives us power through the Holy Spirit and we certainly have the authority to pray!
Well placed, Sister Lighthearted, Amen.

Amen., yes we do. Adam lost it for him and us.., but Jesus the Last Adam regained the authority God gave man AND.,,, then not only THAT but Jesus made us new creations IN Him and tells us to walk by faith and not by sight (our calling) and hold the ground He won over for us. :)
Then why doesn't Jesus or any Apostle teach this authority we are supposed to have in the New Testament?

I believe that believers have authority over their own lives and we have One in us Who is greater than the one who is in the world.

However, we cannot make others do what we know is right.
If a person wants to remain in darkness even though we want him or her to believe in the Light, we cannot make that person believe.

We can expose the darkness and we can reveal that darkness to others, but we cannot make others choose to turn from darkness.
Thanks for sharing this with us reneweddaybyday. I think this is a very valid statement sister, in Christ Jesus. I agree with you.

Yes as GOD Children, & Spiritual Warriors, here on Earth, GOD gives us the Authority over the enemy, to command Satan to, get behind us, in JESUS name Amen!
To speak to demonic angels, & command them to go back to the pit of hell where they belong. Not all have the calling on their lives to rise up Spiritually & take this Authority, tho. Not all want to take this Authority in the Spirit, as it does open us up for Spiritual Attack more often, from my experience.

“Through You we will push back our adversaries, through Your name we will trample down those who rise up against us.” Ps. 44:5

Matthew 16:23[SUP]23[/SUP]
Jesus turned and said to Peter, "
Get behind me Satan!
You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the concerns of God, but merely human concerns."

Bella xo :) <><<
I'm not sure it's wise to try to command demons to the pit of hell. Jesus didn't do this. And Michael only rebuked Satan. Did any of the Apostles command demons to go to hell? Do you have any scriptural evidence that it is right to command spirits to hell? Binding them on earth is not the same as ordering them to hell. We know they will be judged when their time has come but it may be unwise to assume we have the right to command them to hell now. (however much they deserve it)

In Pentecostal faith and doctrine when a convert is baptized in
the Holy Spirit they are ordained into the body of Christ and are
then fully authorized as priests in the church of God:

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first
begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father;
to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
Revelation 1:

5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house,
an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable
to God by Jesus Christ.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation,
a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath
called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1Peter 2:

Thus a Pentecostal saint can go forth and preach the full gospel,
baptize people,
lay hands on others and pray for others,
teach and admonish,
cast out devils and rebuke Satan,
share their testimonies to the miraculous
be an ambassador to the Kingdom of God.

So if somebody does not belongs to the pentecostals, he has first become a pentecostal for to have the authority as a followet of christ? Ore is pentecostal in a higher class then the non pentecostal? Where were the autorized christians before 1900?

Yes, we do. Christians are authorized to declare the Gospel with Jesus' anointing.

Matt 28: 16But the eleven disciples proceeded to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some were doubtful.18And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

Everything that Jesus command in scripture for all believers to do, He empowered us & authorized us to do so.

Also, whatever the Holy Spirit directs us to do at the appointed time, He has also authorized us at that moment, not constantly, but when He directs us at the time He directs us.

For example, if The Holy Spirit directs me to pray for someone's immediate healing, that doesn't mean I have authority to do so for the one standing beside them.

He who calls & commands, empowers us & authorizes us for the moment & specific person(s) to be ministered to.

Authorized with Jesus' authority to do Jesus' work, not ours.

After the fall of man Adam would have to be perfectly righteous In his own strength and would need to know what GOD's perfect righteousness was so then the law was added because of Adams transgression.

Of course no man could be perfect In his own strength.

JESUS said not one jot or tittle would depart from the law unfulfilled
+++
Matthew 5:18
King James Version (KJV)

18.)For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
+++

Before JESUS left earth HE said

Matthew 28:18-20
King James Version(KJV)

18.) And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19.) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20.)Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore [in my power], and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Mat 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Php 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengthens, enables, and empowers me.

1Jn 4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is [that is in us], so are we in this world.

2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but [He gave us a spirit] of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

1Co 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Act 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

What do you mean?

One example of delegated authority :

Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened.

What if your carrot cake had some poison in it you weren't aware of? Do you have the authority to make it clean or healthy to eat?
I would have my cake and eat it too.....
