No, at least not in principle. The only criteria needed to ensure we are Heaven-bound is that we believe in Jesus Christ, that God The Father raised Him on the 3rd day and that we make Him Lord over our lives. Believing doctrines the apostles taught should be a consequence of this, after all The Bible is God-breathed. The apostles were taught by Jesus Himself.
This is the apostles doctrine though (or one of them) lol

Yes or No?

To make it much easier on everyone here to understand where you are coming from on this issue, please answer the question with a "Yes" or "No" before explaining your position in more detail.
Could you be a bit more clear on what doctrine we are discussing?

This is a very good discussion. Check out this blog
Hmmmm? Are you posting this everywhere?

i suggest that no one "check out this blog" until you provide where this blog is located. No one should just open attachments without knowing if the source is reputable

No. We have to believe ONE, singular, doctrine that The Lord Jesus Christ taught and the apostles expounded on. Acts 16:31

Believe/trust in the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ ALONE to be saved.

What we have today is people believing in His name and not His Person and work. They believe He lived and did great things. But they are trusting in their own FOLLOWING /imitating of Him to be saved.
Umm the whole Bible is the Doctrine of Christ, the Word is Jesus:John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.,John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Of course, because it is the Holy Spirit of Truth speaking through them, and not they themselves; such is common knowledge among them that believe.

If the doctrine we are talking about is the gospel then the answer must be a resounding yes.
