Luke 2:13-14 KJV
(13) And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
(14) Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

To the post Merry Christmas John Lennon (War Is Over) - It was so sad.

Even so come Lord Jesus - Our Lord and Savior is the only one who can put a true end to all the war and suffering/death it causes. But the war of sin and Satan is the war I most look forward to being cast down by Jesus. Have you ever thought the day after Jesus comes no more Satan to even try and tempt us to sin - I look forward to that day. Praying hard that ALL would come to a knowledge of Jesus sacrifice and accept Him as Lord and Savior.

since this is not welcome on some threads...Christmas haters stay off. (...)
I'm not a 'Christmas hater,' far from it, but I'm just wondering why you didn't post this in the 'Music Forum,' where it belongs. It seems to me that the risk of it getting bad comments from 'Christmas haters' is bigger here than there.

I love this thread. I rarely go to the Music Forum and would not have seen it there. Christmas is about celebrating Matt 1, and Luke 1 & 2. To say nothing of the Old Testament prophecies! Very Biblical.

“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and they shall call his name Immanuel” Matt 1:2, Isa. 7:14

For to us a child is born,
to us a son is given;
and the government shall be upon his shoulder,
and his name shall be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Of the increase of his government and of peace
there will be no end,
on the throne of David and over his kingdom,
to establish it and to uphold it
with justice and with righteousness
from this time forth and forevermore.
The zeal of the Lord of hosts will do this. Isa. 9:6-7

O little town of Bethlehem
How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
The silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
The everlasting Light
The hopes and fears of all the years
Are met in thee tonight

For Christ is born of Mary
And gathered all above
While mortals sleep, the angels keep
Their watch of wondering love
O morning stars together
Proclaim the holy birth
And praises sing to God the King
And Peace to men on earth

How silently, how silently
The wondrous gift is given!
So God imparts to human hearts
The blessings of His heaven.
No ear may hear His coming,
But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive him still,
The dear Christ enters in.

O holy Child of Bethlehem
Descend to us, we pray
Cast out our sin and enter in
Be born to us today
We hear the Christmas angels
The great glad tidings tell
O come to us, abide with us
Our Lord Emmanuel

Angels we have heard on high

Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
And the mountains in reply
Echoing their joyous strains.

Refrain:

Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
Gloria, in excelsis Deo!

Shepherds, why this jubilee?
Why your joyous strains prolong?
What the gladsome tidings be
Which inspire your heav’nly song?

Come to Bethlehem and see
Christ Whose birth the angels sing;
Come, adore on bended knee,
Christ the Lord, the newborn King.

See Him in a manger laid,
Whom the choirs of angels praise;
Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
While our hearts in love we raise.

Hallelujah chorus from Handel's Messiah

"Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.” Rev. 11:15 KJV

"These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful." Rev. 17:14 KJV

(Usually sung at Christmas, by the way!)

Dedicated to all the hearts who seek God's peace. :)

Yo quisiera poner a tus pies,
Algún presente que te agrade, Señor.
Más, tú ya sabes que soy pobre también,
Y no poseo más que un viejo tambor,
Viejo tambor, viejo tambor.

Me sonrió.
