A few months ago it was discovered that horse meat had been found in many pre-packed foods with what was labeled as beef. It came in frozen hamburger patties, in pizza toppings, in meat balls, and many other frozen foods containing ground meats. It has been found in Ireland, France, England, Holland, Spain, and more countries in products manufactured and packed by well known companies. There have been several instances of horse meat in fast food chains.

Instead of seeking to pinpoint the source of this horse meat, authorities have announced there is nothing wrong with consuming horse meat.
This is not the problem. The problem is the consumers' right to know what they are purchasing, nothing more, nothing less. Also, manufacturers must be sensitive to people and religious reasons for what they eat and why. I do not keep kosher by any means, but I believe we do have the right to know that what is labeled is also the content of meat products.

More recently an office of the UN announced that people should eat insects in order to quell world hunger. Today I read in a Yahoo article about the inventing of "printed food" which contains varied food sources including insects.

Does any of this relate to the Word or what may be in the near future? I do not see a direct connection but perhaps you do. What do you think?

Peace be with you, you are a senior member and you are weaken by the signs of today. You will not continue to be weak and weaken others, if you are still rooted to the Gospels.
Aren't you ready to face it or pray to be ready with your brethrens to face what GOD the FATHER has will or confront against it that we have rights?
When GOD through Moses sent witness to spy the city of Jericho, what was the outcome of that story?
Two witnesses brought Good News of hope from the LORD and others many of them witnesses brought bad news of discouragement from the devil.
i only speak with zeal of love of the LORD who reminds and stir up our memories not to compromise the initial truth that we must continue/keep/abide to bear good fruit.
May GOD the FATHER of our LORD JESUS CHRIST bless you in spirit and truth.

remember, ''whatever house you enter (in presenting the Gospel) eat whatever they put before you''.

in other words don't let food and drink get between the person's soul and the message of the gospel you bring.

here, this will help...And into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you:
(Luk 10:8)

That was the algoroba, a type of edible pod fed mostly to animals, but it may also be used for making artificial chocolate. This, just as Moses coming down from the mountain with horns is one of the few mistranslations found in the word. The one of the horns was mistranslated as horns instead of rays, see Michael Angelo's sculture of Moses.

Anyone may consume anything that pleases him, the question should have been does this in any manner relate to possible future control of our choices at home what we eat, what we worship, who we believe, etc.

Whiat you have to post here has all the appearance of being somber and sober, but it does not begin to relate to the OP. I suggest you start your own thread. Thank you.

Thank you for your comments. Whether it furnishes protein or not, again, is not the OP.

Horse meat is healthy, it has less fat and cholesterol. But the product should be labeled so you know what you are eating! I hear dog meat tastes good but I doubt many would eat dog meat burgers and if it was slipped into other meat with out being labeled...that might cause a riot.

As for insects, I have tried some but did not like them. I have eaten scorpions at a restaurant. They had a slight bitter taste but the unpleasant thing about eating them is their exoskeleton. They had a similar "mouth feel" as eating mush with saw dust.

Not one response here is to the question posed in the thread. I see a definite pattern formed.

Please reread the OP, the question it asks is not whether or not horse meat may be consumed, but thank you for your thoughts on how it may be consumed. Now, because of 100% missing the point in the responses to my question. I am unsubscribing.

In the past i would always say "not knowingly" in reference to consuming animals that consciously i would not eat dog, cat, horse etc...

When this came to light i was not surprised and had stopped eating meat...

There are many that will not mind eating horse or whatever else, but those that would not, purchased beef to consume beef and were betrayed.
