Does God love Satan?

I think God does love satan. I can't think of a passage that proves this but here are some scriptures that seem to support this idea.

1) "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven" Luke 18:44
I have wondered if this means Jesus mourned that day?

2) "However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven." Luke 18:20
Again this seems to show some compassion for demons?

I don't think God loves satan.. why would he love him?

Psalms 11:5: “The LORD tests the righteous, But the wicked and the one who loves violence His soul hates.”

In Psa. 5:5 we read, "..You hate all workers of iniquity." God hates all those who hate Him and loves all those who love Him. Rom.9:13 God says,"...Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated." Any general feelings of love God has for Satan could never be called Love,in the long haul, because Satan ends up in the lake of fire, and Satan knows where He is going, in the end. This kind of love is really pity. Love to all.Hoffco

If God thought like this, there would be no need for Jesus. God loves His enemies as we are instructed to love ours. Remember, God created the destroyer to destroy!

I somewhat regret asking this question because I knew everyone would find a way to turn it into a debate about whether God is loving or not. Soon the thread topic will turn into "Am I really saved?" like what happens to every other thread around here.

In the bible there is a list of what God hates. Best you are acquainted with that list.

since God is the creator of all and everything, and after every creations God said its good, and we were all created with a freedom of choice and our loving God is still waiting for everyone to confess their sins and to repent and i beleive in the same way God too is waiting for satan to do so and to come back to God since the time given to him is clicking fast, so i really feel that God loves satan too only if he will repent and start worshiping our lord with all his mind heart and soul and forget that he can take Gods place.

impossible. satan's end is the lake of fire forever. Don't dishonor GOD by minimizing his hatred for evil. evil isn't just some vapor or idea floating through the cosmos; it is a being that hates GOD.

Hi Exoaria, no I do not believe God loves Satan. The argument against fallen angels being forgiven by God, as I understand it is, God has not provided a plan of redemption for them as He has for mankind. No redemption, means no reconciliation, means no repentance. Christians are forewarned about the schemes of the devil. What are your thoughts, no love loss?

8 - Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.

All the children in heaven and in earth has His name. And if so His name, then eternity as well. The problem is that most people really do not know what Satan is.

Saying satan is not sin is like saying GOD is not love. there is no truth in satan; therefore he is sin because he is the father of lies.

Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:44

No they don't all have his name. All men are created by GOD, but not all are his children or called by his name.

These are simple principles. Now I ask you, what is Satan?
