The above question brought me to this site yesterday. I have been searching the internet to see if I could find examples of God speaking to his people in dreams or visions today. The reason for my search is that in November of 2011 I had two powerful dreams about my Christian faith. In my dreams I experienced all of the doubts fears and questions about my faith. I also experienced death, rising into Heaven, and a personal welcome from God. I was then sent back to Earth by God with detailed memories of my dreams. He sent the Holy Spirit back to Earth with me and allowed me to experience the Spirit's power to heal and bring back to life a dead person through me.

Space on this thread does not allow me to share all of the details of my dreams, and words are inadequate to describe the experience of my dreams. In my dreams God allowed me the ultimate experience of what waits for me and you at the end of our journey of faith. My dreams were a message from God that I must share. You can find more details about my dreams and book by checking my profile and at my website:

www.attheendofourjourney.com

My purpose is not to profit from sales of my book. I was inspired by God to write the book, and my only desire is to share the wonderful message about the Christian faith that I received from God in my dreams as detailed in my book.

So lets hear from you!

Does God speak to his people in dreams today?

Has God spoken to you in a dream or vision?

Has God spoken to you in other ways?

Do you think God gave me a message in my dreams?

We can strengthen our faith by sharing it with others.

God bless and guide you! :)

I believe He always has spoken to His Children in dreams and visions, I believe He does often simply to confirm them after they have received the Holy Spirit in most instances. Nothing is hard for our Father to do, and to communicate with His children is only natural. Yahweh bless you..........

I believe dreams and visions are gifts, and that they are given without repentance. I know people who aren't christians who have prophetic dreams - dreaming things before they happen. So in a sense it can be confusing why these people who aren't serving God have this gift.
I know someone personally who has had a vision before. I have dreams that take place exactly as I saw them, sometimes years later. It can be confusing as to what is real and what isn't - especially when you know something is going to happen ahead of time. It gets even more confusing when you think you know what is going to happen but you dreamed of thinking a certain way - and what actually happens is hid from you for a time.
It fulfills scripture in Acts but any sign - or gift - should be lined up with the Word, and that's how you know if it is completely of God to be followed :)
17And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Hi Bea22!

Thanks for your response. After sharing my dreams with others, I had several people repeat the scripture you quoted from Acts.. I truly believe that the scripture in acts is the reason why God gave this old man (72) his dreams.

God bless and guide you on your journey.

Ill share one
I saw Jesus standing in a sea of water waste deep, he was dipping the water with the palm of his hand and pouring it back in.
He turned and looked at me and then stretched out his hand and waved for me to come.
truly he was saying come to me the living water

I know from experience that He does. Mine are extremely symbolic, and I don't understand them always.
I have had no "glimpses into the future" which is what most of us probably wish for, but rather glimpses into my current condition and situation. Guidance.

I also believe I know what a "vision" is, and that I have had them. But I cannot describe the experience.
They are also symbolic. No visible glowing angels floating around in my room per se.

The dreams didn't make sense until I had faith that they could, and began to seriously question the Father about His symbolism in scripture.

I also believe there are signs all around us, but that we have to be careful, I don't try and find them, they have to take me by surprise to make sense, and always apply to what I'm currently thinking about.

I think making a dream, vision, or sign into a message is "seeking" a sign, and creating a graven image.
I think that doing this repeatedly results in error and superstition, maybe "sorcery" and constitutes worshiping graven images.

I believe "angels", messengers, bring these things to us as directed by the Father, and that this is the reason they are called as such.

Peace.

Nice. A peaceful and beautiful experience that made your day I'm sure.
Have you further analyzed it like, left or right hand dipping water or waving?
Do you think waist deep meant something? Baptism depth for example? Or maybe that His feet were concealed and the rest revealed? Etc?
Western shore, Eastern shore, sunrise or sunset? I try and evaluate every detail that I am given, at least remember it for later if I don't understand it.
Peace.

I have both visions and dreams but usually they are in response to a question I prayed about, a thought in my head that gets answered when I didn't expect it or something God wants to tell me about a situation I'm in.

Mine are not really prophetic, but rather they give me guidance in my life at the time. I would share some of my experiences but I'm not sure if this is something we're to share or keep private, unless it can help another person in some way? Not sure.

baloney!
you come to this website to communicate with your brothers and sisters not SELL your book.

I take testimonies very seriously!
And I know when someone bulls...

I can understand Jesus does bring people to heaven and instruct them to tell the nation, doing 90's and below the year, this means you can only tell the world through a book. But in today's world you can tell people easily with the power of internet.

now that you have that power of the internet...why do you still try to claim money off your experience!?
you should be giving this information for free!
Imagine how many lives you can turn to believe in Jesus if you give up the experience God gave you for free?

I mean Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ came out at the cinema, on dvd/bluray and it's occasionally aired on tv! Is Mel G or the publishers/distributors trying to make money off the movie? NO they gave up the rights to distributed the movie to tv station so it can be aired on tv. Therefore they can't make much money on their work.

so if you don't want to share your experience and want us to buy your book...you are condemning yourself!
Remember the story of Anianas and his wife? who sold all their possessions and tried to keep a change for themselves and they died in front of Peter?
yes...you are doing the same!
God GAVE you a gift to witness heaven! He told you to tell his people and the world.
The only way you could do so is by making a book.
Now it's year 2012...your experience SHOULD BE free

people who have testimonies and if they don't want to give it for free...I call a lie!
all things possible and made by God CANNOT be bought or turned to money.

Why do people have to pay to hear this? There is a woman who lived in the 1800's who had over 2000 dreams and visions all her writings can be viewed for free without any money.

In answer to your questions about commercial and financial motives for me to be on this site only to promote and sell my book. I do not feel that I need to apologize to God or anyone on any site about my motives for writing my (God's) book or postings on internet sites. I hope the below information will answer your questions and doubts about my motives

1. It would take over a hundred pages to post the complete details of my life, faith, dreams, and explain my process of sorting it all out. I do not think that any site allows that long of a post. How many of you would take the time to read and study that long of a thread?

2. I prayed to God for over eighteen months asking him to guide and direct me about how to share my faith and dreams. After waiting for a long time, I felt that God spoke to me and said I have not answered your prayers because I haven given you this time to sort out your faith and the dreams I gave you in your own mind. I gave you time to do your scripture research, internet research, and organize your thoughts, comprehend the message given to you in your dreams, etc etc. I felt that I had received a clear message from God to write a book and share my dreams of faith.

God asked me to write the book. That is the only reason I would ever write a book especially at age 72. I am sometimes slow to hear and understand what God is trying to tell me, but when I finally do hear him I do my best to do as he asked.

3. A book can reach a large group of people, but production costs are in excess of $5,000. I did not hear God ask me to donate the publication costs of the book He asked me to write.

I strongly feel that I should not profit from my faith or the book. I will be donating to my local church mission program 10% of the gross sales proceeds on my book until I recover the production costs. After recovery of production costs, I will donate all of the proceeds less taxes that I personally have to pay. My only profit gain or reward is that I get to share the wonderful message of my dreams and the Christian faith with others.

Yes I am eager to share my faith, dreams, and book, but when you hear the voice of God welcome you to heaven in your dreams with the following words:

"Jack, I am glad you are here I have been waiting for you."

You have no choice besides doing what God directs you to do.

hmmm...so God specifically told you to write the book but did he say you should sell and make money out of it?

others have written a book about their experience and publish it for free!

ok..you don't have to post your experience online.

but funny how you have a website where to buy your book.
I am sure you can -copy and paste- the book on your site for people to read....right!?

xino:

Many people especially the elderly never access the internet.

Yes God did tell me to write a book.

If you will reread my first response you will know that I will receive no financial gain from the sales of the book.

If you will take a close look at my site at www.attheendofourjourney.com you will find that my site is designed to provide inspiration for Christians and direct those who are interested in the book to locations where it can be purchased with no profit to me other than recovery of my costs to publish.

The pivotal point is not how or when I met Jesus that happened fifty five years ago. The pivotal point is the dreams that God gave me in 2010. I am doing everything I can to share my dreams on the internet, in my book, on my website, and any other opportunity that the Lord provides.

translation he doesn't know how to post the book in pda format for free... most elderly don't, but if you really wanted to make your experience available to the world just ask your website designer to upload it for you...recoup expense for a website via donates or hard copy book sells.. just a suggestion.. i cked out website. not even one page of experience posted.

have to say i was disappointed and somewhat cynical of your motives as well. though i might not have voiced it so strongly and negatively. giving you the benefit of doubt and chalking it to lack of technology savy....

you could make a blog...

Yes, He does. I have had them, but not often and not many. If you think you have a vision or dream, it has to tie in with the Word 100 per cent. There are even examples of un-saved non believers having visions. Remember this one?

Act 10:21 Then Peter went down to the men which were sent unto him from Cornelius; and said, Behold, I am he whom ye seek: what is the cause wherefore ye are come?
Act 10:22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by a holy angel to send for thee into his house, and to hear words of thee.
Act 10:23 Then called he them in, and lodged them. And on the morrow Peter went away with them, and certain brethren from Joppa accompanied him.
Act 10:24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited for them, and had called together his kinsmen and near friends.
Act 10:25 And as Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him, and fell down at his feet, and worshipped him.
Act 10:26 But Peter took him up, saying, Stand up; I myself also am a man.
Act 10:27 And as he talked with him, he went in, and found many that were come together.
Act 10:28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Act 10:29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent for: I ask therefore for what intent ye have sent for me?
Act 10:30 And Cornelius said, Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and, behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
Act 10:31 And said, Cornelius, thy prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.
Act 10:32 Send therefore to Joppa, and call hither Simon, whose surname is Peter; he is lodged in the house of one Simon a tanner by the sea side: who, when he cometh, shall speak unto thee.

In verse 30 Cornelious had a vision of an angel. There are many examples in the OT also. Pharaoahs dream is one, and he was by no means either a Jew or a Christian! And what about Nebuchadnezzar?
