Well if you and Nehemiah can't find anything benificial about this thread why are you both joining in and putting it down? Why not go find another thread that is actually discussing something you enjoy and can relate to?
JM,

It is the duty of every Christian to uphold the truth of God and expose the lies of Satan. If your posts were full of the truth of God, no Christian in his right mind could raise any objection. But when lies and eisegesis are substituted for Bible truth, seekers and babes in Christ can be deceived. Therefore people should be made aware of anything that is not totally in line with Scripture.

As Lewiz has pointed out, that passage from Luke 13 does not even have a hint about "Dust Consciousness". Indeed this idea is not even found in the Bible. So a preacher does not have the right to concoct a catchy phrase and then expound on dust consciousness. Had he discussed how Satan can cause human disability, or how Satan binds sinners in different ways, that would have been perfectly fine.

I agree though remember Paul and Peter opposed each other and they were in their "right minds" so there can still be "opposition".

Where is the opposition in this devotional?

Just curious:confused:

Because this thread spreads eisegesis & eisegesis is false teaching.
Eph 5:11
New International Version
Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
New Living Translation
Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, expose them.
English Standard Version
Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.
Berean Study Bible
Have no fellowship with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.
Berean Literal Bible
And do not have fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even expose them.
New American Standard Bible
Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;

The scripture Joseph Prince used was stripped of its original meaning & replaced with "dust consciousness"
Luke 13
11And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had a sickness caused by a spirit; and she was bent double, and could not straighten up at all. 12When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your sickness.” 13And He laid His hands on her; and immediately she was made erect again and began glorifying God. 14But the synagogue official, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, “There are six days in which work should be done; so come during them and get healed, and not on the Sabbath day.”15But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites, does not each of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead him away to water him?16“And this woman, a daughter of Abraham as she is, whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this bond on the Sabbath day?” 17As He said this, all His opponents were being humiliated; and the entire crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him.

The verses are all about Jesus who delivered a true daughter of Abraham whom Satan had bound.

It had NOTHING o do with her following after her flesh. She was bound, & Jesus set her free.

Just goes to show that Joseph Prince knows nothing about the Bible but making up stories.

It IS foolishness.

If you and Nehemiah feel that way then your arguement is not with me but with the owner of this site and the moderators who have not banned me.

I said if you cannot join in but instead have to condemn me and my threads ., instead of causing problems that are not here., go talk to the owners of this site. If there was a problem here with me., they would have taken care of it and banned me. It is not your job to do this "cleaning up christian chat and forums"

I'm a Christian member who comes here to share not defend and prove myself to be a Christian woman. But you and Nehemiah come on my threads and constantly mis represent me and my posts and my threads.

It's so easy to get caught up in a "dust" mentality. Each day I need to be reminded to see Jesus as my righteousness and right standing before God. That truth sets the day on good footing.

2 Cor. 5:21 For He (God) made Him (Jesus Christ) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. (Jesus Christ)

We're misrepresenting you now, are we?

'Tell you what I'll do......... If you can go to biblehub.com & use any and all of its resources to prove the scriptures used in this Op of yours means what Joseph Prince say it does, I'll quit reproving you.

Fair enough?

Imagine being bowed over for 18 years. All you would see is the dust on the ground. That was the predicament of the woman in Luke 13. Dust was all her eyes fell on, all the time, everywhere she went, until she became dust-conscious. Thank God she finally saw the beautiful feet of Jesus, who brought her good news and raised her up.

Now, dust is the devil’s food. The Bible tells us that God cursed the devil to eat dust all the days of his life. (Genesis 3:14) Dust represents death. (Genesis 3:19) The devil wants you to be like him—to fall flat on your belly, crawl and eat dust. To eat dust is to feed on your shortcomings and lack, until you constantly feel that there is so much in your life that you need to clean up. You may not be physically bowed over, but like the woman, you become dust-conscious and life every day is a struggle.

Having a dust-consciousness also affects the way you see others. You look at people’s faults all the time. You point out their shortcomings and rake up their past failures. When you are dust-conscious, you find your relationships robbed of peace and joy.

And if you, like the woman, keep looking at the dust, before long, that inward position of dust-consciousness becomes so entrenched that you become the devil’s food because dust is what he eats. God’s Word describes him as being like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. (1 Peter 5:8)

If you don’t want to be devoured by him, then lift your eyes above the dust! Instead of looking at your failures, look to Christ who has delivered you from every defeat. See yourself the way God sees you—righteous and holy in Christ. (Colossians 3:12; 2 Corinthians 5:21) You are not dust because you are not in and of the flesh—you are in and of the Spirit. (Romans 8:9)

My friend, the more you realize who you are in Christ, the more you will straighten up and walk the way God sees you—a new creation with His authority, power and overcoming Spirit!

Perhaps I could do a better job also by using the same resources I challenged you with to prove Prince's devotions void of any Bible truth and keep my opinions to myself.

I think that would be fair.

Ok I am a bit confused with what is being called dust here . Looking at the OP and the refrance to dust and the serpent.
The word has several somewhat related meanings .

עפר

‛âphâr
BDB Definition:
1) dry earth, dust, powder, ashes, earth, ground, mortar, rubbish
1a) dry or loose earth
1b) debris
1c) mortar
1d) ore
Part of Speech: noun masculine
A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number:

Then after reading the whole post the author seems to relate dust to sin .
It sounds cool don’t be dust conscious but really what dose it mean ?
Its a bit confusing without a firm definition.
Blessings

I guess the interpretation has to do with the person reading the OP. Some here find the OP heretical. And others read it and gave their thoughts on what it meant to them.

I took it as meaning I can't depend on my flesh for anything and when I do try to depend on me., I fall down. I'm just a bunch of dust. One of the other posters mentioned God knows our frame that we are but dust. Psalm 103:14

[SUP]13 [/SUP]As a father loves and pities his children, so the Lord loves and pities those who fear Him [with reverence, worship, and awe].
[SUP]14 [/SUP]For He knows our frame, He [earnestly] remembers and imprints [on His heart] that we are dust.

Seriously., how can we depend on ourselves apart from Jesus any longer? And the Bible says without Him., we can do nothing. Yet because we are not able to see past ourselves to Jesus UNLESS we make the choice to walk by faith and not by sight., we will have a dust mentality if we don't make that daily choice to see ourselves as God sees us now "IN CHRIST"

Our flesh is just the shell where our spirit resides. And when we walk by faith in the spirit., we can master our flesh one day at a time. The Bible tells us the flesh seeks to master us but we must master "it"

And the great thing is Jesus already stripped the flesh of it's power over us. But we have to walk in the truth of that reality. For sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under law but under grace. This verse was also brought up in another thread and I'm reminded of it here and it also applies here. How awesome is God's Word!! Romans 6:14

[SUP]
10 [/SUP]For by the death He died, He died to sin [ending His relation to it] once for all; and the life that He lives, He is living to God [in unbroken fellowship with Him].
[SUP]

11 [/SUP]Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.
[SUP]

12 [/SUP]Let not sin therefore rule as king in your mortal (short-lived, perishable) bodies, to make you yield to its cravings and be subject to its lusts and evil passions.
[SUP]

13 [/SUP]Do not continue offering or yielding your bodily members [and [SUP][a][/SUP]faculties] to sin as instruments (tools) of wickedness. But offer and yield yourselves to God as though you have been raised from the dead to [perpetual] life, and your bodily members [and [SUP][b][/SUP]faculties] to God, presenting them as implements of righteousness.
[SUP]

14 [/SUP]For sin shall not [any longer] exert dominion over you, since now you are not under Law [as slaves], but under grace [as subjects of God’s favor and mercy].

I was about to give up on CC altogether, because of some horrible nastiness recently but this is what brings me back what you and Ralphie have written has put my attention back on the only person who is Worthy, Jesus.

His finished work is the source of all comfort and joy.

... Beautiful and uplifting
You must not give up Grace as that's what the enemy would like to see most. To provoke a rise from you in order that you may slip up in responses where you'll be removed or leave of your own accord. Through manipulating what you say and mean with ill conceived arguments and accusations behind a transparent veil of supposed righteous claims. Those kinds of spirits are disturbed enough to be left behind in faith to the Lord knowing He will be your protector and advocate to the end. Focus on the positive messages, those open to fruitful debate and leave the rest behind in Christ's capable Hands. Keep flying!
