What do you think of Benny Hinn? He left the Eastern Orthodox Church to become a Pentecostal.

I judge no man. But his ministry is a money-making ministry of charlatanism. He is known for his false

prophecies and false teachings, and the false "slaying in the spirit" antics.

I do not know whether or how long he was in the Orthodox Church.

Dear friend.
False. Lutheranism is the false, unbiblical teaching of salvation by "faith alone", and James 2:24 says that justification does not come by faith alone. Eastern Orthodoxy does teach justification by faith. By "faith which worketh through love" (Gal. 5:6). Luther's teaching of "Filioque" is unscriptural. In Erie PA Scott R. Harrington

Strangelove, You rely on man made tradition because you trust in your own private, man made interpretation of the Bible. So you are not being genuine, and you can't even correctly identify your point of origin: Which is it: Turkey, or Namibia?
If you are dishonest in even little things, you will be dishonest in great things, too.
I was sinful for many years, don't get me wrong. We all need Christ's mercy, that is the point.
It won't help you bearing false witness against the Church though. Especially when you can't even confess what country you are in.

Why do you always go to Luther? I don't know anyone here who follows Luther. So when you say stuff like this it does not make any sense.

James did not add works to the gospel. He said if you have no works, your faith is dead. A dead faith = no faith = no salvation.

I don't get the "faith working in love" thing.

Gal 5 is Paul teaching against people adding the work of circumcision to grace to the Gospel. Paul makes it clear. getting circumcised means nothing to those in Christ (it will not save you) it is faith (ours) working in the love (of Christ). You can't get paul teaching that all our sacramental works are not our but Christ, context does not allow it.

6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.

this faith working in love thing is just a false doctrine which comes from the roman catholics. to try to excuse their works based "sacramental" salvation. of which the EO Church has bought into.

You seem to be buying into the "faith alone" equals "salvation" mistake of Martin Luther. That's why I'm bringing up Luther. He contradicted Church Tradition, and Luther said of his "gospel" (of "faith alone" in Romans 3:28), "It is so because I, Martin Luther, say it is so."
So much for teaching the true gospel. Faith working through love is Galatians 5:6.
So you are saying Saint Paul is a false prophet, and Galatians 5:6 is false.
Paul teaches against "faith alone" in Galatians 5:6. Love must be added to faith, and also hope (1 Cor. 13:13). We are saved by faith, hope, and love; we are saved by God alone.

No I did not buy into his doctrine. And I proved to you through scripture that it is not a false teaching. (Yet you did not even respond to this.. why??

Your teaching of works is false. your trying to earn a gift. God said he will reject your works. and not let you in if you try to earn it by your own deeds. This is scripture. It does not matter what Luther, or constantine or anyone else taught. This is scripture. I follow the word. Not men.

Defend your country of origin, Strangelove.

So your faith tells you to say that Turkey is in Namibia, and Namibia is in Turkey.

If that is true, prove it.

Necromancy? False accusation.

Idolatry? False accusation.

Turkey is in Nambia; Namibia is in Turkey. False geography.

If you can't be honest about this, why would anyone believe your false witness

about saying "Pharisaical sect/ Pharisaical cult"?

Which of the Church Fathers was a Pharisaical cult member?

Which of the Apostles was the founder of a cult?

Why don't you use your own name?

Change your name from Strangelove and maybe you will be taken more seriously.

Dear strangelove, If you live in both Namibia and in Turkey, I apologize. But most people live in only one place location. I don't understand your situation.

It is only Turkey because Constantinople fell in 1453 AD.

what does where he live have to do with whether the orthodox church is from God or not? If he lives in one place the EO is from God if not the EO is not. I don't get this line of questioning. Who cares where he lives. This is the internet you don't let people know where you live!

It is false. We are saved by God's mercy alone (Titus 3:5). His mercy does not leave us without works.
Faith alone teaches faith minus works saves. That is false.
James says faith without works is dead.
Faith alone is faith without works, which is dead. Dead faith doesn't save anyone. We cannot earn God's mercy by our works.

No Scott. Martine Luther did not say a dead faith was no faith at all. GOD DID. Luther even tried to have James thrown out. so you can't say this came from him!
IT does not matter who interprets dead to mean dead. It is not a private interpretation it is Gods word.

Your right his mercy does not leave us without works. But it is not works which saves us, it is salvation which brings about works (eph 2: 8-10) This is what James was saying.

The men he condemned had ZERO WORKS> which proved they had ZERO FAITH. If you have ZERO FAITH you have ZERO SALVATION. It is not a doctrine from men. It is a doctrine from God!

Yes. James said faith without works is dead. How much faith is a dead faith? I have asked you this already, you refuse to answer, like so many other people catholic or not who are backed into a corner because you know I am right. but your pride will not allow you to see it.

Your right, we can't earn Gods mercy by works. that means we can earn salvation by works. Which means all the sacramental works your doing which you think will grant you salvation will not grant you anything. Because God will reject those works. because you reject the ONLY work which can save you. that is the work of Christ on the cross.

Wake up my friend. before its too late!

Scott.. Who cares if he feels secure enough to tell us where he lives or not? For all we know he could live in a muslim nation where claiming to be a christian would get you killed. I probably would not say it either.

Stick to the facts of scripture. where he comes from does not matter.
