1 Key Historical Figures: Jesus Christ
2 Supreme Being: Trinity is 3 Persons in one God: The father, the son, and the Holy Spirit, Eternal, Personal, supreme, creator and Lord of everything that exists.
3 Person of Jesus: God in the Flesh, both fully man and fully God. Eternally one with the father and became man supernaturally through the Virgin Mary.
4 Work of Jesus Christ: Lived a sinless life and willingly died on the cross as a sacrifice to make atonement for sin. Rose again and is going to return as Judge.
5 Doctrine of Humanity: People are created by God in his image and distinct from rest of creation and from God. Every person is unique, precious and has dignity and worth.
6 The basic Human Problem: Sin: wilful rebellion against God and breaking of his Law. Everyone is born with a sinful nature.
7 Solution to the basic Human problem: Salvation – God’s free gift of grace through Christ’s death. Forgiven and saved by faith alone, not works.
8 Ethics (Value System): Ultimate values for humanity are based on God’s character and his Ten Commandments. People always need God’s grace to renew their character.
9 Life after death: Eternal communion with God (heaven) for all that are saved by grace, or eternal separation from God (hell) for all that have rejected Him.
10 Sources of authority: The Bible (old/new testaments) is the unique, revealed, factual, accurate and inspired Word of God. Sole authority for faith and patience.
