I have just received the most wonderful and understanding note in one of my posts. It is right on the money, and because it is, I believe it deserves being repeated as a post here. Also, those who may be in a position of feeling humiliated by others, this may help you to endure such experiences:

Dear JaumeJ,

There are about 5000 members of Christian Chat and I believe approximately 2-3000 that are active members. Part of the problem is covering all the forums and all the chatrooms with enough moderators who can help moderate and enforce rules.

Other reasons for forum threads that lead to arguing or ridiculing, is that not everyone that is a member of CC is a Christian, or they are new Christians and are just beginning their journey with Jesus and have yet to be honed by trials, fire and God's gentle hand.

One can always admonish as you did, and encourage others to be fair, polite and loving in their discussions however.

The moderators (mods) do their best but covering all the forums, the chatrooms and maintaining their jobs and family life means they cannot always oversee every problem quickly.

I can say with conviction and certainty that I have been ministered to in the chatrooms directly by others praying for me, or been encouraged by a bible study or just the joy of discussing ''bacon''. Many of those who are regulars have disabilities or are going through some tremendous trials. But you would not know it by their demeanor. The joy of the Lord in the chatroom often is apparent and lifts me and others up as well.

The people I have come to know and love on here have been a second family that have lifted me up as the Body of Christ is supposed to do during this past year when I have not been able to get out much due to health issues.

Personally, I spend very little time in the forums. I cannot see the person's face or hear their tone of voice and I find many arguments in here that I just ignore.

I hope you are blessed at CC and that you find encouragement too.

God Bless,
NewEagle
