Hi, all, :)

I am tasked with the wonderful project of creating a First Steps program for our Pentecostal church. This program will be online and given in person to new believers. :) I am ever in need of questions that new believers face...and even some that you may still have, if you're not such a new believer...to help me create my curriculum. :) Topics regarding what to do after accepting Christ, such as Bibles and choosing a church and such things; baptism, both water and Holy Spirit; healing ministries; operating in the gifts; and any others you can think of.

I plan to base it on Romans 12, primarily, but I really need some help with knowing what questions new believers may have and would like answers to. Thanks in advance. :)

You will probably handle it just fine. But one thing I have noticed about newbies in Christ is their tendency to want to serve in someway (even churches are very quick to tell them where they "fit in").

They all need a type of honeymoon period with Jesus just experiencing His presence, especially His love. You might give them a print out of the ways in which He loves - what mercy and grace is all about - and tell them to meditate on each point. To learn to be still and learn to receive that love.

And do not let them "work or serve" for at least a few months. I've done a lot of retreats in my role of clergy, and discover that a lot of ladies do not really understand the full dimensions of grace. And they have this mindset of "what will I do next?", "how can I serve?". Women are at heart servers and want to do something. They are better at giving than receiving. Men are probably the same.

Just some thoughts. You have the rest.
