Been a long time since I looked into this thread....So long that we now have 5 grandchildren. Our daughter, Jackie had identical twin boys two years ago in February. Jackson and Eli added to Jill, Brie and Gracie.

Love them all and since they are in Michigan and we are in Florida don't get to see them as much in person as I would like to. Thank God for facebook as we get to see pictures and get to follow along with their lives in real time.. Those little boys are so cute they are going to grow up and be heart breakers....

Hello all,.... I'm a 55 year old grandfather of three grandsons ages 3 and 3 and 5 yrs.. I dearly love them all but i have this bonding with one of my three yr old grandsons Adrian.. He was raised by me since his birth and up until last summer my son in law and daughter moved out taking Adrian.. I was heart broken...he often stays the night with Paw paw and he cries bitterly when my daughter takes him back home... I know it's natural to love them all so, but i have a special place in my heart for Adrian and i can't ever remember feeling so much love for anyone else than i have for him... Is it wrong of me...? my other children resent that i'm closer to Adrian but my other two grandsons don't return the affection and love back to me like Adrian does... Recently i was working out of town and I missed him so much it hurt... I would talk to him daily after work on the phone and just the sound of his little voice would make me cry... Is this natural ???
Your not wrong, just need to look at it a different way, I'm sure you love all your babies, yes it's natural to miss a child who grew up in your home believe me I know. I raised my oldest grandson for 10yrs, and babysat my 3 granddaughters 12 hrs a day for several yrs, they all well into their school yrs and granny isn't needed to much anymore. If I can say one thing do your best to find a special bond with each child, even though they don't react the way you would like PLEASE remember your their pap paw and those little eyes see everything.
