Much the same as we are commanded to forgive those who have persecuted or harmed us, should we forgive God for the things we feel he has done against us?

Would this help in getting a person free in their spirits?

Many folk feel anger against God for the many injustices and sufferings of the world. And if a person feels totally worthless and on the edge of taking their own life, for example, would the preacher's words that they are worthless sinners in need of repentance really solve the problem?

God does not need to be forgiven but we need to be forgiven by Him. I never needed to forgive God but did need to accept His will.

I don't agree that God does something negative to us...
God's plans for us are good! - Jeremiah 29:11
The reason bad things happen to us is because Adam and Eve sinned, sin entered the World. The enemy is at work, he is out there to steal, kill and destroy us! The enemy wants us to be angry with God, but all God does is show us love, grace, mercy, compassion, forgiveness... God is a GOOD God, He is for us, who can be against us.
God is so good, He loves you, unconditionally.
